No hostess to meet you at the reception - ever !
Had to wait 13 minutes before I walked to the kitchen and asked for “help” Then I was told to seat wherever, I did. Then, another girl came and said I was seated in a sanitized area and was closed but if it didn’t bother me ok to stay there, I could stay there. 10 minutes later she came back and said I had to move to another table that she had already set for me. I told her I had been waiting already 35 minutes to be served and taken care of and when I got to the table it was filthy dirty and brought it to her attention to which she ignored me and turned to the other waiter and asked him to clean it. That, really upset me. I felt humiliated and angry so before mounting a show I decided to leave the place. I may say this is NOT the first time this happen I have noticed a decline in the service, a lack of caring, lack of customer service, a very condescending attitude as if the service was free and a very arrogant attitude towards the customers. The employees gathering chatting in groups having a good time while one or 2 busting their rear trying to wait on the patrons. No coffee refills no checking if anything is needed orders take forever to be served absolutely this is another restaurant than what it used to be before remodeling and what it used to be VIPs I have been a loyal customer of your restaurants for over 40 years everywhere I go and travel and it is very disappointing to see that instead of excelling and performing to become better it’s happening the opposite How pity.- Good luck, hopefully y’all can keep on business. 🤷♂️ Let’s not talk about the...
Read moreThere were a couple negatives and positives with our visit. I have been to many VIPS over the years in other parts of México so maybe it's the just the location but I was unimpressed with the quantity of food, and the taste of my individual meal.
Most of my companions enjoyed their meals but we agreed that VIPS is not as good as it was in the past... possiby due to COVID. The coffee, fruit and juice were perfect and the taste of many of the plates was decent. The accompanied soup style bread buns were really cold and dry and I am not sure why they were used for breakfast and without marmalade or butter.
I did not like that pastries were brought to our table without warning and then charged for 25 MXN each. If we were asked we would have refused the pastries but it was assumed that they were included in the breakfast. The coupon discounts that we had were very easy to apply to our account and la senora Dulce was very friendly and...
Read moreAn attractive coffee shop as far as design and a very helpful friendly staff, but geez get your menu together. Just by looking you can tell the bulk of the menu is made from canned, packaged or frozen products and most likely purchased in bulk to save even more. Sure the items on the menu are colorful and smell wonderful. It's the taste of cardboard l can't get past. There's also been an issue with diners getting I'll on the past. No excuse for anyone ever getting sick in a restaurant. Great location between the Galería and Walmart at the Marina. Terrific foot traffic. Take advantage of it by beefing up that menu and bringing even more in for...
