As a concerned customer, I feel compelled to express my disappointment with the treatment of employees at "Machima" restaurant in Ajijic. Despite their facade of being welcoming and friendly, it has come to my attention that the owners exhibit exploitative behavior and demonstrate a reprehensible attitude towards their staff.
It is disheartening to learn that behind the scenes, the individuals responsible for running this establishment engage in such unethical practices. No business should thrive at the expense of its employees' well-being and dignity.
I strongly urge the management of "Machima" to reassess their treatment of workers and to prioritize creating a positive and respectful work environment. Exploitation and mistreatment have no place in our community, and it is imperative that action is taken to address these concerns.
As a community member, I believe it is essential to hold businesses accountable for their actions, and I hope that this message serves as a catalyst for positive change within...

Extensive selection of juices, multiple types of kombucha, smoothies, teas (even some made from dried fruit). Food options were varied and interesting, I had today's special, a sort of stuffed chile relleno with quinoa and peanut sauce (I'm allergic to the standard almond sauce). Meal was perfectly portioned, quite flavorful and superbly plated. They also had a handful of dessert options.

They offer both indoor and outdoor seating with a nice atmosphere, good view of mountains, and table service comes with pour-your-own mint water, which was nice. They had some great art for sale inside as well as a variety of veg/healthy products. Meal came to $200 pesos for large peach kombucha & stuffed chile....
Read moreVery disappointing. Service was very slow, with only three tables occupied. My husband received his meal, finished his meal, and I continued to wait another 15+ minutes with no explanation or as to where my meal was. When my food arrived, I wasn't offered an explanation or apology. My "Tikka Masala" was not prepared as described and the masala sauce was more of a bland tomato sauce. My husband's portobello panini was very good. The prices are high. Kambucha and ginger beer at 95 pesos! I can see they take much pride in their restaurant and food, so it was disappointing to have such...
