Friday the 1st of Sept 23 I was craving Oysters and figured my Mom and I have not been to Baja Norte yet so let's give them a try. Everyone says they have great Oyster and seafood. It was 430 when we got there and there was a table with 3 people and us. We ordered 2 Margaritas, I ordered Oysters which I was told right off the bat they had none. I told the waiter I'd get 2 octopus tacos grilled as an appetizer, I ordered the cracklin shrimp and Mom got the Shrimp and chips. The waiter came back with my 2 tacos and Moms shrimp. I figured well I told him appetizer so guess the shrimp are coming. Our Margaritas were empty but I figured when he brought me dinner we'd order more drinks. But he never came back with Shrimp or to check on us. Empty drinks should have been a sign. I waited a bit while Mom ate. She said I should flag someone down. I honestly don't think in an empty restaurant, empty drinks you should have to wave someone down. Honestly at this point I was pretty disappointed and really just wanted to go. I did have 1 of Moms shrimp and she did enjoy them. I did finally flag someone down and got the check..We paid, left and on the way home went to LA Pacena. Enjoyed their oysters and Eby Nagasaky. I know you guys are loved by so many people here and have good reviews. I usually do food reviews on Fb and Google. I never like to leave Bad reviews on fb though. Google yes. But I wanted to share the experience we had with you. I'm sure that you would agree it's not to the standards you set for your restaurant and that maybe it was just the waiter having a bad night. Who knows. Thanks Fred Tolodziecki San Antonio tlayacapan Ps I gave 2 stars cause what we could...
Read moreGreat beach vibe. The decor is very cool with half of the restaurant having a sand floor like you're eating on the beach. They had live music which was nice. Food was normal and prices were fair. Service was good maybe a little slow but hey, you are in Mexico. Probably the biggest turnoff was about three or four street dogs that kept roaming through the restaurant coming up to our table looking for snacks. The staff was kind enough to put bowls down of what I'm assuming were table scraps for them to eat. Glad to see someone was taking care of them but having dogs roaming around under your table while you're trying to have dinner was...
Read moreThis place is overrated and overprice! Marlin taco with smash marlin for $5. One battered shrimp taco with two shrimp that was mostly batter for $4 and the accompaniment bar had several empty containers. I would have gotten better and cheaper tacos at a street vendor! The fried snapper was good but accompanied by basic lettuce, plain rice, and salsa picante for $17. The Margarita was tiny and mostly ice for $4. Also the atmosphere and decor was very basic for the prices charged. The service was adequate but got passed around by 3 different servers. Top it off the bill was wrong and got charged for 2 things we didn’t order. Get...
