I was pretty happy with breakfast here until I went to pay. They brought the credit card machine to my table and it showed an amount in pesos and I put a generous tip in and inserted my card. Only after the receipt printed out did I realized I got low key scammed. Even though I was presented an amount in Pesos, they did that thing that small cafes like to do where they charge you in US dollars at an atrociously bad exchange rate. The bank exchange rate as of this review is about 20.2 MXN to the USD. They charged me at 25MXN to the USD which is almost a 25% surcharge. The way it was presented was very sneaky and I confronted them about this and all of a sudden their English skills deteriorated and they stated that they couldn't delete the transaction and run the charge through in Pesos. It's a cute little cafe and the latte was excellent, but the dishonesty at the end ruined...

I had the Cimarron burger, which is a lamb burger with mint jelly and goat cheese. The meat was cooked medium and juicy. Faint lamb flavor, nothing you would notice. It was superbly done, with a slight sweetness from the mint jelly, a tang from the included sauce, and a creamy complex flavor from the goat cheese. I also had the chili shrimp and that was very fresh shrimp dipped in a batter and fried to a nice crisp, and covered in a spicy red chili sauce that was at once sour and spicy, and a little sweet and savory too. Frozen Margherita was so refreshing and smooth. I picked this over La Casa de Los Platos because of the rave reviews about the food and I’m glad...

Ambience is NOT what I expected a burger place to be, nicely decorated and the lighting is perfect.

Pricing is really good for burger and combo meal. We both order fried chicken burger it’s really great, I ordered with lettuce and tomato, it comes with fries and one non alcoholic drinks for 187 pesos, I think that’s cheaper than Carl’s Jr.

Our burger is fresh, hot, fried chicken is crispy outside and tender inside, with a thick slice of beefsteak tomato and right amount of lettuce. Fries are good portion for individual.

Our server is attentive and sweet.
