Come here if you want the best in Guadalajara and are willing to pay for it. But here's a tip--get the mock tails to save $$ as the house specialty cocktails are quite pricey. Moctail is only 80, vs 240 for cocktail.
I think my favorite roll is the "Kokoro Fusion". Made my mouth melt.....but no longer available!!
I order here regularly with Uber eats. Sushi snob here. This place has the Best sushi rolls in Guadalajara. A bit pricey though. The rice is quality and the right portion. Other places put too much rice and it’s not cooked properly, too “cake-like” or is the wrong type for sushi.
Cocktails... Carmesí - good. Not bad. Sour. Kadavra seasonal drink - funky. Sour citrus. Solid choice. Katsuki - mezcal tamarindo ancho reyes limón jarabe. Ooooo sour and punchy. Solid choice. Matchajillo - not my style but my partner loved it.
Dishes ... Soft shell Makito - bueno for me. Buenazo says my partner. Soft shell roll - meh. Skip next time. Hana Maki - probably my favorite roll. Hani maki rainbow roll. Trufado maki - buenazo but she said without the mayo, switch for something else. California maki with salmon - solid option. Spicy. Hamachi nigiri - very delish fattening. But Reminds me of slight mackerel taste. Chutoro nigiri - one of my favorite nigiris. Kampachi nigiri - great nigiri. Has a rubbery texture with bite. Best texture imo. Kampachi and Hamachi are similar. I slightly prefer the kampachi. Robalo -- good texture but has bland no taste.
Excellent quality. Unfortunately a bit pricey but no other place in guadalajara that is comparable. Tokai is cheaper but quality and authenticity severely lacking.
Want to try next time :
Complaints: they got rid of some of our favorite items like : asparagus with steak wrap, ensalada algas, Kokoro fusion. Stop taking out menú items...
Read moreFancy place, l like the interior and atmosphere. However, my visit was terrible. Asked for some wine, ended up going back and forth three times since they only had 2 of the 10 wines available. Better tell me what you have available from the start.
I was served my food 20 min before my guest, so, obviously I finished mine before the food arrived to her. Terrible experience. (Restaurant was not even half full, so dont pull the "it was so bussy" card if replying)
Ordered a ramen soup, I'm not kidding, it tasted exactly like instant noodles with the powder you add to the water, with some fancy topping. Probably the one of the worst ramen I tried.
The waiter did a good job and was very nice to us, probably saves us from not leaving mid dinner.
The sushi was OK, served in a nice presentation. However, nothing special that reflects the price.
And that i think is the essence of the restaurant, overpriced food, dressed up fancy.
I can not recommend anyone to go here, unless you want to pay for overpriced food. You can probably spend you money more wisely...

Además, hubo un incidente particularmente desafortunado cuando nos sirvieron un cóctel que no habíamos pedido. Fue un desliz incomprensible por parte del mesero, y aunque el cóctel en sí era delicioso, no era lo que teníamos en mente para complementar nuestra comida japonesa. Esta falta de precisión y comprensión de las preferencias del cliente es inaceptable en un lugar de este nivel.
En resumen, el restaurante cuenta con una cocina japonesa de alto nivel que seguramente satisfará a los amantes de esta culinaria. Sin embargo, no puedo pasar por alto el trato desagradable y descuidado que recibimos por parte del mesero. Espero sinceramente que la gerencia del restaurante tome medidas para mejorar la calidad del servicio y garantizar que todos los aspectos de la experiencia del cliente estén a la altura de la excelente comida...
