It was my 6th time in GDL.. so I have my favorite places there.. ..till now my top spot was La Musa museum of arts.. but this place is pretty competitive. I know one can not compare art and restaurant but damn.. I found La Arepiza accidentally.. my first encounter with Venezuelan food. It is beautiful! I wish I asked them if all venezuelan food is as colourful as this one! I took like 10 pics of it through I consider taking pics of the dish silly Insta-habit. Taste for me was exotic and new. I really enjoyed! I mean it was explosion of tastes.. Totally recommend. Great experience. Enviroment is chilled and staff is interesting and chatty. Read moreDespite the lack of large crowds, this place is not to be missed if you like arepas - or if you have never tried them. In fact, depending on where you live this could be closest perfect place to loose your arepa virginity and brag about it.
These arepas are fresh and authentic. Very delicious. There are a few fusion options that look very good, but I opted for the simplest traditional one and I am fully impressed - tasty tasty ;)
