Extremely noisy and poorly ventilated! On the weekends is madness, as reservations are not allowed you have to wait for at least an hour before getting a table, the chairs are really uncomfortable. That aside the food is ok, the portions are big enough but the salsas are really spicy, the service is really attentive but the kitchen is very slow, my dish arrived 20 min after the rest of the table was eating. La Chata is not gourmet Mexican cuisine. They don't portray themselves that way... But they've been around since 1942 and I can guarantee they know what they are doing... Providing great traditional Mexican dishes at a reasonable price is there main goal. I had the enchiladas de pollo con mole (verde, poblano and pipián). The horchata was really good as well. Ok I was really unhappy and turned a 5 star review into 1. Because I go here all the time! I order beef fajita every time! This time my plate came empty, see my photos. When I transfer the meat to a tiny small plate and showed the waiter he told me it's enough to make me full... Really??
