There are places that whisper luxury, and others that live and breathe it — Quinta Real is both. Hay lugares que susurran lujo, y otros que lo respiran por completo — Quinta Real es ambos.

My most recent stay at Quinta Real was nothing short of magical. I was here for several nights during a business trip, hosting both private dinners and a private reception with my clients — and everything, from the setting to the service, was perfection.

The location feels like a secret — serene, refined, and beautifully hidden in the heart of Mexico. When you first arrive, you’re greeted by San Miguel Arcángel, sword raised, standing victoriously over Satan. It’s a striking and symbolic welcome — one that feels protective, almost sacred — and it sets the tone for the entire stay.

My suite was like something out of a storybook — spacious, elegant, and bathed in quiet light. A king one-bedroom suite with a fireplace and a view of the gardens, it felt like having my own private castle.

Each morning began with a peaceful breakfast overlooking the flowers, and every dinner was an experience — beautifully presented dishes, attentive staff, and that timeless sense of grace that defines Quinta Real.

It’s the kind of property that reminds you why Mexico’s hospitality has such a soul — where tradition meets refinement, and every stay feels personal.

Ever since I lived in Mexico people talked about this place as an impressive hotel, where politicians, football players and very famous people slept there.

Today I realise that although there are some very positive things about the place, there are others that are not so positive.

The place is beautiful, the attention of the staff is amazing, (doing their best to keep you happy) the gardens and green areas are beautiful.

The things I didn't like about this place were.

When I got to my room the bathroom mirror was dirty, as if someone had stained it while brushing their teeth.

There was a problem with the plumbing in the bathroom.

The smell of the carpet in the room was quite strong and it was noticeable that it had not been maintained for a long time (to be honest the smell was something that bothered my husband and I) and even to sleep I had to spray a lot of my perfume to sleep better.

The iron in the room did not work.

The elevator suddenly stopped working, one of the people who accompanied us on that trip couldn't walk, we were running out of time to get to our destination, it wasn't five minutes as they said, it was much longer.

I think that the cost is too high for...

My stay at the Quinta Real in Guadlajara was really good. However, they do not provide the level of professionalism that a foreign business traveler would expect.

I spent 1 night at the Quinta Real in Guadalajara while on business. When checking out, they had the wrong name on my invoice (they had the name of my Mexican co-worker). I should have caught it, but did not. After returning to the US, I needed to get an updated invoice so I could turn in my expense report.

I called for 4 days, and sent 2 emails. Each time, staff would tell me they were in the process of sending me a corrected invoice. However, they never provided the updated invoice. This kind of response would never happen at a Marriott or Westin.

I did enjoy my time at this Quinta Real. The rooms were incredible, the bathrooms made you feel like you were in a 5 star hotel. The attached restaurant is great. I loved the experience. I just think the hotel management is unresponsive to customers that need updated invoices, which is very...

Not knowing the city very well we booked this hotel. Mainly because we had stayed in 2 other Quinta Real properties. This property is quiet and unique. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Our shower had very little drainage so always standing in water even after a couple of hours. The buildings are not quite as impressive as other Quinta Real however this was a nice stay. The location is in a very nice part of town, walking distance to many great restaurants. We felt very safe walking around. The hotel is not really close to any attractions you will need to get an Uber or taxi. The restaurant in the hotel offers a very expensive buffet. For breakfast we only wanted something small. They were very reluctant to give us a menu. We found eating out at the surrounding places better value and quality. My expectations are as always location, value for money and Friendliness of staff. This hotel is all good. The location is a little far from any thing special. Nothing a Uber or taxi couldn’t fix.

This place has old money vibes. The grounds are breathtakingly beautiful. The rooms are spacious and they use high quality shower products. Housekeeping was great as well as bell service and front desk. The only issue was we went for dinner. We ordered seafood which was severely over cooked. The restaurant was empty and it took over 1 hour to receive our food. We were never checked on for refills. The restaurant itself is beautiful but because of that service we never returned nor did we even eat 1/4 of our plate. If they addressed that issue this place would be a solid 5. It's very quiet here and I would recommend it for a leisure stay.
