La Valentina Tlaquepaque Pizzas a La Leña — Restaurant in Jalisco

Yesterday, me and the family came to try this place for my moms birthday. Previously, my mother had come here with friends so we figured it would be good. Service was ok, food was a 7 out of 10, and the ambience was decent. Just a heads up* if you're with a family member that has a disability you'll have to sit downstairs because they do not have a safe way to get up to the 2nd and 3rd floor which kinda sucked. The one big reason why I gave this place a 1 star is because while we waited for our food my sisters walked to a near by bakery to buy my mother a cake. Take in mind, that we wanted to purchase the cake before the place closed. Anyway, once my sisters got back to the restaurant the server came up to us and told us that there would be a charge for bringing in a cake from the outside regardless whether we cut the cake or not? I couldn't believe it becuase we were planning on taking the cake home so that we could cut the cake with the rest of our family friends. Well, we were charged for having the cake in their presence. Ridiculous. Won't be coming back. I wanted to talk to the manager about it but I noticed that she kept making faces to the server as she served our table. I'm sure it was obvious to them that we were foreigners as my spouse is Korean. Also wanted to not that I was tipped the server prior to bill just becuase i was initially happy with the service that was provided prior to the cake incident and the uncomfortable...

Es un lugar que por su estructura llama mucho la atención, su edificio alto da oportunidad de estar en hasta 3 terrazas y se ve que tienen otras dos más, eso hace que el lugar se vea muy muy impresionante por fuera Pero una vez adentro hay muchas de las sillas que se ven oxidadas (podrían pasar por vintage 😅) pero sin cogines no son muy cómodas, en algunos niveles son de plástico entonces no hay como ese inconveniente Tienen muy pocos baños (2 para mujeres en la segunda planta, uno para hombre y un urinario, y en la plata baja otros dos para mujeres y hombres) considerando lo grande de todo el edificio es insuficiente, nuestra visita fue en un sábado por la tarde noche y la fila para entrar al baño era de 5 mujeres esperando afuera, y mi esposo me comentó que el de hombres estaba muy sucio y olía muy mal 😞 yo entre al de abajo, y estaba limpio En si el restaurante a la vista está bonito, y por la noche prenden los foquitos y le dan un ambiente romántico y bohemio y la vista desde la terraza de más arriba es muy linda 😍 Pero lamentablemente el servicio deja mucho que desear 😔 le dijimos en más de una ocasión a la mesera que si por favor limpiaba la mesa, porque en la mesa que nos colocaron al parecer la acaban de desocupar y se veía aun en el cuero, el rodete de los vasos de las personas que estuvieron antes, la mesera se justifico diciendo que su trapo lo traía su compañera, después de que le volvimos a decir pareciera que si lo consiguió, pero cuando le pasó el trapo, estaba seco entonces no se limpio nada y se seguía viendo sucia 🙄 Hasta eso la pizza que pedimos llegó rápido, estaba rica, delgada crujiente, extrañamente cortada y con los ingredientes no muy separados (nosotros pedimos mitad peperoni y la otra con camarón y pimientos) y había en unas partes que no se definía cual era el sabor, pero estaba rica 😋 las bebidas las pedimos después y una de ellas llegó muy rápido que fue un clericot que también estaba 😋, la otra fue una naranja, le preguntamos a la mesera que si, si la había pedido y dijo que ya la estaban preparando, pero terminamos la pizza y apenas llegó la naranjanda, la mesera en disculpa del retraso pidió un plato con fruta a manera de disculpa que traía dos rebanadas de toronja, unos arándanos, dos zarmoras, una cereza y una rodaja de limón, y se mostro muy apenada y afligida por el retraso en la bebida (lo cual fue lindo pero ya estabamos un poco molestos) porque los precios no son precisamente accesibles, no para el servicio y limpieza que demuestran En resumen si fuera por la pizza y la vista del lugar quizás si regresariamos, pero los precios, el servicio y limpieza dejan mucho...

Highly overrated, Valentina seems to have its golden days gone by, the restaurant facility is dirty if you place close enough attention, restrooms are missing soap and other basic requirements, the staff is poorly trained and do not seem to follow through requests as they need to be reminded constantly, it took them 35 minutes to get our drink order, another 30 minutes for wings entree, our main order was a salad and 2 pizzas, they brought a pizza and a salad first and the second pizza was delivered 30 minutes after wed finished the first pizza and salad, when asked on the delay they commented the second pizza had been dropped and they were just making a new one. In summary our experience here was poor, it was sad since the place seems to have lots...
