You know, Puerto Vallarta has so many little gems. Even if one stays down near the malecon, there's almost too much to discover. But, it gets even tougher to see it all of you fan out further. This little place is about a 5-10 minute walk from the beach, a little out of the tourist area and into a more or less normal PV residential area (though still a lot of tourists close to here, as well). Magna Magna is a place run by an Italian guy. It features pizzas in the window rather prominently, but also offers salads and pasta dishes. We had fettuccini w/ pesto sauce and tortellini stuffed w/ a cheese & herb mixture. They do have meat dishes, but we're vegetarians, so we ordered the veg stuff. The menu is simple, and handmade, and executed with excellence. You can enjoy pizza or fresh pasta with a selection of fresh juices for a very reasonable price. Pasta, sauces, desserts, and a selection of imported meats are available to take out to create your own Italian meal at home.
The location is unique and cozy. My wife and I make a point to bring our three daughters every time we are in the area. PV has many great restaurants to check out, but Magna Magna is...
