Michi cat Café — Restaurant in Jalisco

I literally stumbled on this place today (literally…cobblestone streets in flip flops isn’t easy!). Vibe: adorably charming. LOVE the decor and LOVE the dishes, tableware, mugs…everything! I was told everything was came from Puebla and they are hoping to get more and have items available for sale at the cafe soon. Yes, please!! I had already had breakfast when I discovered this little gem, but there’s always room for ice cream and coffee right!?? So I went with a dish of pineapple/basil and strawberry/rosemary ice cream and a cappuccino. This is fresh artisan ice cream and the flavors are original and fun! The cappuccino was also perfect, but the cat face art on top literally made my day. I’m already planning on going back to try the smoothies, waffles, and bowls. The owner, Paloma, was super friendly and a pleasure to talk to. You can quickly tell this unique cafe was initiated by a person that obviously loves cats, but also all living things. Wow! This is our ALL time favorite place to eat! I’ve visited Puerto Vallarta for 5 nights and we went here 3 times, each time it is incredibly delightful. The staff is beyond perfect, the food is finger licking delicious and healthy, and the atmosphere is stellar! The menu has either gluten free or vegetarian for people with dietary restrictions, the coffee is better than any coffee I’ve ever had, and they completely customize your experience by giving you ways to color into books and a cat layout to draw on. I am beyond impressed by literally every aspect of Michi Cat Cafe, my girlfriend is deathly allergic to cats yet she was able to sit outside and have the cat hang around which was super refreshing to experience. We even got more goodies such as cat stickers and essential oils, etc! I cannot wait to visit Puerto Vallarta again- this will be our first stop...

This is my new favorite restaurant! It checks ALL the boxes: relaxing, attractive atmosphere; friendly service; delicious, beautiful food and reasonable prices. We originally came to meet the cat, Mandarina, who was even cuter and sweeter than we had hoped. So the quality of the restaurant itself was a welcome surprise.
