Problems after problems. ATV tour Cons: The pick up driver was 20minutes late The provided goggles were either cracked or severely scratched. Very little visibility for some riders due to dirt going inside or scratches present. It's like if they used sand paper to clean them. Photographer will not allow for you to record or take photos unless you commit to buying expensive photos. The food was the most expesnsive meal for my whole trip in PV. I'm talking US prices and the Tip was added to the check. NEVER have I had the tip included in the check while in Mexico. The tequila tasting guy was rude!! He kept pressing a couple infront of us if they were going to purchase something. He legit rolled his eyes and the tone in his voice was as if they were wasting his time by being hesitant. The lead guide, gave us a dollar amount to tip. His suggestion $10 to $20 USD per person/atv. No problem with tipping but to tell us an exact amount. Wilding. On the way back the driver asked everyone whether they want to go back to the office or the pick up points. I said I want to go back to my pick up point, as it was very close to our rental. He takes everyone to the office and when I told him that it's not what I asked for, he tells me that I agreed like everyone else to go back to the office. He sees that I'm confused to where Im at and upset and he then directs me to go down the street to catch the bus to go back to the romantic zone. He lied to my face and inconvenienced me so that he would have a quicker and easier route. No tip from me and he lucked out that I did not make a big deal of it. Shoot I was on vacation!
Pros: The guides were funny and helpful. They gave me some good insight and helped with a slow rider in front of us and clipped my bag to the atv. They got a good tip. On of the workers, that did not come with us, let me use his personal goggles. Of course it was after I asked 3to4 times to check if they had better ones. It was a highlight for sure. But their equipment should not be so worn out. ATVs were in good shape. The helmets where sanitized. They smelled heavily of lysol.
Overall I would STAY AWAY...
Read moreA couple of important things to know about Canopy of Eden. First, the price fluctuates dramatically depending on who you buy tickets from and how you pay. (PayPal transfers go for another $50 US dollars versus $130 US dollars if you pay pesos in person at the location). There are kiosks around Puerto Vallarta that sell tickets for much cheaper than if you buy off the Canopy of Eden website. So keep this in mind.
Second, the actual location is about an hour from Puerto Vallarta and is very deep in the jungle, accessed only by a very dusty, rough, dangerous jungle road. You can Uber in, or drive your own vehicle, but Canopy of Eden offers free rides from Puerto Vallarta on their open-air deuce-and-a-half, WW2-era truck.
Third, cameras and cell phones are forbidden on the premises. You have to store your cell phones and cameras in flimsy "lockers" upon arrival. All pictures are taken by staff on the premises. You will not be allowed to take any pictures. Again, all pictures are taken by staff members by their cameras. After you finish your "adventure" you're given the option of purchasing pictures at exorbitant rates. They tried charging us over $50 US dollars just for a few pictures. Don't buy into this.
Finally, all of the equipment they use, e.g., the harnesses, the helmets, the ziplining pulleys, are all old and worn out and the helmets smell terrible. Don't expect cleanliness or sanitation.
Other than these things, the ziplining is amazingly fun with some great views of the surrounding jungle. We were led to believe that there would be more "Predator" movie stuff at the site, but there wasn't. Overall, it wasn't worth the...
Read moreI would say only 1 star.because I'm complaining about the bad booking activities for my family through the agent from Hacienda Buenaventura name Leo Reynoso and the Conopy staff Proveedor/supplier Coney Eden with confirmation code Areli from the Plaza Las Gloria's Conopy El Eden. I'm one the first timer Tenant at the Hacienda Vuenaventura that who asked for the activities for my family and this people came to us and made a promised to us and giving me a warm welcome that they will give us discount priced for this 3-4 hours activities package deal Ziplining and I paid cash for four people and we were all excited to do the activities. they told us to come at 1pm and we decided to come early like 12:40pm so we can have more time. But then the staff at the Plaza Las Gloria's didn't provide any assistance's for us because they told me they don't speak english. They just told us to wait for the driver to pick us up. But then driver came around like 2:40pm which was late and the driver dropped us off in to the place which was supposed to be included to our package And that was the ATV, but then the staff over there told us that we are not booked for those activities so we had to end up calling the taxi and it took an hour to wait for the taxi to pick us up to bring us at the Zipline area. And when we got there it was already almost 4:40pm and we end up only having 1 hour for our zip lining activities and we didn't get the 3-4 hours activities promises to my family so we were disappointed when we went back to the hotel. our first bad experience. because they...
