I absolutely love this place! Locally owned and run, Juan "Pan" and his delightful family are super talented bakers and wonderful, generous people! I am amazed that there are so many vegan sourdough breads with several whole grain options! I have tried the mouth watering cinnamon rolls and conchas, the whole grain biscuits, as well as the whole wheat, rye and flaxseed with red wine sandwich loaf... Out-of-this-world taste and texture! I really haven't tried sourdough like this anywhere - and the vegan options are made with pulque! Holy cow! All this in a charming space attended by such lovely, passionate locals who truly care about sharing their amazing abilities with the surrounding community! Oh, and all at an incredibly affordable price (90 pesos for an artisanal loaf of the most delicious sourdough sandwich bread?! Unheard of!) Hahaha, the sign outside says it all 'A toda madre... La masa madre!' If this were a bakery in any city in the U.S. there would be a line out the door every morning....

The pastries were amazing and the owner was even better. There’s not a place to sit, but the owner invited us to sit on a couple of stools while we had our pastries and coffee. I recently bought two loaves of sourdough bread from this bakery, and I was very impressed with the quality. The flavor was good and well-balanced, with that perfect tangy sourdough taste. The texture was just right—soft and moist on the inside with a nice crust. The price was fair for the quality of the product, making it a great value. I’ll definitely be coming...
