A bit disappointed here, I was happy to know that I was going back to get the great beers, cocktails and food once again, but I guess today changed my opinion. Bad Managing can break down any great quality.
We understand it's been hard with the Covid situation, but seriously, how much does the owner cares about their business if he leaves the restaurant without the manager?, I'd understand days like monday to wednesday, but thursday, friday, saturday? it's a profitable day, which means "clients could need the Manager" and it turns out it's not that person's shift...wait, WHAT? for real is the Manager not at the restaurant in the night shift, which obviously will involve many job to do, sometimes a simple employee taking the supervisor job, when someone that must be there is missing, shows more attitude and willing to do stuff that's not even part of their responsability. Maybe this was not a big deal, but what if it was? You can be sure that you can't count on the manager to help you. I'd recommend getting counselling of what kind of people to hire, or assign to the different positions. The staff can really decrease their level of work by seeing their supposed leader actions, leadership teaches with examples not by just giving orders.
I tried to take my mind off about this, but it's the second time in the last 2 weeks, first time I could've undestood a personal matter , but two times? I bet it will be the same If I happen to go again, which I'll not...
Read moreThis used to be my favorite place for a beer ... Now I can say I'll never come back! I tolerated that the portion sizes of the food have gotten smaller and smaller over the last two years. But today when they served us pints that were not even a full pour, I lost all confidence on this place. On top of that, they served us bad beer! We've been here many times and have always enjoyed the Paraiso beer... Today we noticed the flavor and body of the beer were VERY off. We only took a sip (the glass was still very much full!) and noticed it, and we stopped drinking from it. We kindly asked for them to replace it with another beer from their line but they refused. We arrived early for a brewery tour (which I will touch on in a minute) and had some great calamari and corn ribs paired with an off-menu hazy IPA that was delicious. I highly recommend asking for the tour because it’s very intimate and was run by one of the partners, Hector! You can just tell they really are proud of and care about their product. Hector answered any question we had and let us pull pints right from the tanks of beer. After the tour we did a flight of beer that were all amazing and distinct , and Tanya the server (both pre and post tour) was phenomenal and so friendly. Cannot recommend this...
