Casa Kali By Barrio Mexico — Hotel in Jalisco

Casa Kali is an oasis in the middle of Guadalajara. Great neighborhood, walking distance to excellent eats and bars.

It's about a 15-20 min walk to Central area.

The courtyard/common area with the kitchen and pool is beautiful! It was my favorite part of the house. The architecture of the place is peaceful, lush and green. A quiet and restful place where it elevated our vacation that is unique than staying in a traditional hotel. Courtyard is opened to outdoors - plenty of fresh air, but never direct sun which keeps the house nice and cool.

There's a built in filtered water which I used to boil water to be extra careful and didn't have any issues. There's a fridge in both your room and the kitchen.

As some of the critiques goes, I had trouble connecting to the WiFi in the room. The internet worked in the common space, which as mentioned is gorgeous space to relax. Cons: There are no staff past 6 PM. I had an issue with my room code not working, thankfully I arrived while the attendant was still there. Everything is by chat and customer service was a bit flat. No flexibility offered on late check out or early check in. My room on the street side was a little loud at times, but I always sleep with earplugs and it was fine The hallway light shines into the room whenever someone passes, if you are sensitive bring an eyemask for sleeping

Mi habitación fue la 2 en la planta baja. Cuenta con una pequeña cocineta y dos camas. Para 2 o 3 está muy bien, ya 4 les quedaría pequeño el espacio. La TV no cuenta con plataformas de streaming. Las escaleras son angostas así que es subir y bajar con cuidado. Si eres sensible a la luz y ruido no te recomiendo esta habitación ya que está cerca de la puerta principal y es un poco molesto porque llegaban huéspedes en la noche se escuchaba y las luces del pasillo se encendían automáticamente; esa luz pasaba por la puerta y ventana de la habitación. La cocina común y el segundo piso cuenta con una llave de agua potable para beber. La casa es muuuuuy bonita y tranquila, tiene muchos espacios para tomarte fotos y relajarte en las áreas comunes. El personal de la casa y cafetería es muy amable y atento, la atención vía WhatsApp no es tan buena. Tuve dos problemas: uno el internet, muy mala señal desde mi habitación, no pude trabajar durante mi estancia, solo podía usar el wifi si me salía a las áreas comunes. El otro problema fue el agua caliente, la mitad de mi estancia el agua estaba fría, a pesar de que lo reporte no lo arreglaron hasta la tarde del día siguiente. La ubicación es buena, en la esquina pasan algunas rutas de camiones y caminando a 7 min está la estación del tren. Alrededor hay varios restaurantes, bares y cafeterías.
