We came to this place to have coffee. It had very good reviews and was close to our home.
The place has a very nice interior: beautiful light-blue walls, pleasant decoration, comfortable furniture; the tables are both inside and outside in the garden. Overall a nice combination of old and new styles. The place had some customers but was not crowded.
The place has many vegan options from milk to pastry. It was a surprise - it is the first time we see such an accent on vegan food here in Yucatán.
We ordered two coffees - one americano and one ice coffee- and a slice of a banana cake. The waiter could speak very well English.
We just wanted ordinary coffee with regular milk and a slice of cake. The waiter was constantly stressing “vegan-vegan” and listing all the alternative milk options. We said that we wanted ordinary milk. He came once more to double-check regarding the milk. Ironically, in the end, we got both coffees without milk. We had to ask for the milk again. The coffee was ok.
The cake was good but perhaps too sweet. Also served in a paper box with plastic forks although we were eating right there. As we understood, there was some problem with water that moment, and they couldn’t wash the dishes, still the box felt like unnecessary waste for a small slice of cake.
Overall a very nice place but i felt it was too much emphasis on vegan food from the waiter when we were clearly not...
Read moreAll I can say is WOW! The people here are kind and genuine. My boyfriend and I were practicing our Spanish and they were patient. We got a Dirty Horchata, double espresso latte, green toast (vegan special), and a blueberry muffin (also vegan). The vegan muffin was so moist, soft, and the blueberry color was vibrant. Everyone was very nice! They have 4 types of nondairy milk options (inc oat, almond, lactose-free). They offered a few types of salsas and I asked for salsa macha because I didn't know what it was and I was curious. It was so amazing, I started eating it on its own. Thank you to the humans of...
Read moreStaff were extremely friendly and the atmosphere was quiet and comfortable. The staff spoke in clear and slow Spanish (and used a little English) so I could understand. The menu had English descriptions underneath the Spanish. Perfect place to read a book or catch up with friends. The dirty horchata (horchata with expresso) was excellent and the carrot cake might have been the best I ever had. I liked that they had a small LGBT flag on a shelf in the corner. I would definitely...
