Vips Uptown Mérida — Restaurant in Mérida

Vips is a classic restaurant in Mexico, they offer different types of food. They have good breakfast and also for lunch they have specials every day and they even have specials for dinner, so they have variety in the food during the day. This Vips in uptown is good but many times you order something and they say, I'm sorry, we run out of this, and this...etc, they always are missing something. A recommendation is that the manager or the purchasing department calculate better the raw materials they will need for every day or week based on the demand. This way that will always have what the clients want. Also sometimes the restaurant is almost empty and even that, the waiters are distracted, they don't put attention to the only tables they have, they are all grouped together chating instead of paying attention to their tables. We could only get canned pop, none on tap the waitress said. We didn’t get any bread and butter/chips like everyone else. My dinner came before my husbands, I only got the soup but his meal came with a soup as well. His soup and meal came at the same time. My soup was barley warm. My husband didn’t get salt and pepper or any dressing for his salad. We asked for our bill which took quite a while yet another table snapped her fingers to get her bill after I had asked and our waitress brought their bill before we got ours. Pésimo servicio, normalmente como aquí con mi pareja y suelen tardar pero lo toleramos, hoy ya veníamos con el menu en mente para agilizar el proceso, pero llegamos y como nadie nos dirigió a la mesa nos sentamos en una que consideramos dentro del area disponible porque había como un area vacía, y después de tardar bastante en notarnos nos dijeron de manera grosera que no podíamos estar ahi que buscáramos lugar del otro lado, ni nos acompañaron ni nos dieron opción, ni la carta nos dejaron, bueno nos sentamos en donde consideramos bueno y esperábamos que ahora si nos trajeran la carta para aprovechar a pedir lo que ya teníamos en mente, atendieron a 3 mesas mas que acababan de llegar e incluso hicieron unos cambios de mesa, el mesero me vio 2 veces y seguro con la cara de hambre y de ya querer que me atienda y me ignoro, nos sentimos ignorados y mejor nos fuimos, lo bueno que a lado esta la casa de los abuelos, entramos agarramos mesa y no tardo mas de 2 minutos y ya nos había traído la carta, poco después la entrada y hasta el refresco, cabe decir que estaba el triple de lleno y no me sorprende, por los comentarios que pude leer antes de este con experiencias parecidas a la mía, de seguro de ahi se pasan a la casa de...
