Baveno — Restaurant in Mexico City

the reviews are old things must have changed cause the menu is not the same and still limited. mostly sandwiches. i did see nice pastries in the window but i wanted the salmon and egg breakfast i heard about but the closest they had was salmon sandwich on a bagel. it was good but the top half of the bagel was as hard as a hockey puck and totally inedible so i just put the two bottoms together. chips and juice were fresh, staff was nice, just disappointed in the food. didn’t have the coffee so can’t say anything about it but there were 4 other people...

Cute little coffee shop to enjoy but not work from. I always sit inside in the back and they have unaccompanied children who have come in and panhandle their patrons. One time I was on a work call and this child came in and just start pressing buttons on my computer saying “bolido” (stupid in Spanish). She attempted to take my things off the table and I had to abruptly redirect her while trying to manage my call 😂. I have tried eating and working from dozens of cafes in Roma Norte and Condesa. Baveno is at the top of the list. The food is amazing. Fresh, delicious and great quality. The coffee is top notch and even the other beverages are very good. On top of that the Staff and service is outstanding. The staff is so helpful, so sweet and give amazing service.
