For those who are here for the chisme: I spent $68 MXN on one latte. The flavor was fine, but it din’t make me want to go back for another one. Because of this, I will say it was very expensive. Comparatively, Quentin Cafe has a much better flavor and is $60 for a latte; I never get tired of their lattes.
Now, I understand the Polanco tax, BUT if I’m paying that much for a coffee that doesn’t even taste that good, I’m expecting the service to be good. It wasn’t. I paid for my coffee and told the cashier I’d come back to pick up my coffee in 5 min (I needed to use the restroom). I come back in 5 min and ask the barista for my coffee. I asked for a simple bottle of water and they tried to sneak in the most expensive one. We barely finished the meal and they started cleaning the table (again, rushing us to leave out). When paying, they asked me if they could charge the service. O said yes since I Know there are other employees. But unlike other restaurants, they simply sneaked in 20% to the bill.
