A unique speakeasy with a creative drink selection concept, but the overall experience was underwhelming. As walk-ins, it took some effort to find the entrance and reception area from the street. After locating an unmarked door, we were greeted by a security guard who called down a hostess to inform us of the wait time. After waiting about 15 minutes, we were escorted upstairs to the bar.
The waiting area was a bit awkward and didn’t quite match the vibe. Once inside, the atmosphere improved with a dark yet colorful bar area. We were seated on a large shared couch alongside other parties, which didn’t overly cramped, but just enough to move around.
The drink selection process was intriguing, involving a Rubik’s cube with various flavors and mix-ins to create a custom cocktail. While the concept was interesting and they touted thousands of possible combinations, the steep price of nearly $300 per drink made experimenting feel like a bit of a gamble. Instead, I opted for a drink from the menu. The Paloma I ordered was just okay, but the Amaretto Sour (off the menu) was a bit better but nothing amazing, and the drinks tasted a bit watered down.
While the idea of customizable cocktails is inventive, it didn’t quite win me over, especially with the higher price tag and the peculiar choices the cube had. The service was average at best, as it often took some effort to flag down a server to order more drinks and pay the bill.
Overall, the speakeasy’s unique concept deserves credit for its creativity, but the execution left much to be desired. For those seeking a straightforward and seamless bar experience, this may not be the best choice. While I appreciated the effort to create something different, it wasn’t quite what I...

We went out as a group of 6.
Atmosphere: The atmosphere is cozy and fun. Great music, comfortable seating and beautiful scenery.
Service: The service was incredible. Friendly, passionate and prompt. From the moment we were escorted up to the jeweled door and learned the company ethos it was obvious everyone there was dedicated to the craft.
Menu: You should try anything on the menu! If those unique drinks don’t do it for you, use their special “Twisted Menu” rubix cube to create a drink to delight your flavor preferences!
Truly some of the most ingenious drinks we’ve had.
We tried and loved the Bijou Diamond, Japan Jazz, Piñata (group favorite) Aviation (crème de violets!) and Funky Wine.
The most unexpected flavors came from the Martini in a Bikini: We loved the combination of sweetness and heat. Perfectly balanced.
And Bijou Rubi: The black truffle oil was so unique. Each sip changed the flavor ever so slightly. Must try.
Experience: The cocktails are so delicious You’ll want to drink up promptly, but savor the drinks! Take in the aroma and see how the flavors change with each sip.
Great for date, or a group like ours.
Thank you, Dani and Kokie, for making this...
Read moreHad this bar high on the list for us to try out during our visit for its unique concept. Saw they had plenty of reservations open for the evening so my husband and I decided to do a walk in. They welcomed us at first but then when I said I didn’t have a reservation, the tone quickly changed and they turned us away.
I asked if I could make a reservation for another day and they said no, they didn’t have any availability (not true according to OpenTable). I then showed them the open availability on OpenTable for that evening and asked if we could wait, and continued to get turned away, even as large groups were leaving. We thought maybe they were prioritizing locals for the evening, since my husband and I spoke limited Spanish.
However, the real kicker came when another large group of Americans approached without a reservation and then they got let in.
Not sure why we received such a negative attitude from the hostess, but this was such a huge let down. Just be aware that even if you do make reservations, you may be...
