El churro y café americano que pedí, bien, lo pedimos para llevar y nos sentamos en el Parque México a disfrutar, curiosamente mi problema es el sig:

Americans have absolutely ruined the societal structure of how we mexicans behave of course this is something that is enabled by the neighborhood per se which has become an American enclave in Mexico city, alas this neighborhood has always been a pretencious place but you could still see and feel the availability and warmness of the Latinamerican (or mexican).

-Yesterday in this place I went to form in line which was not very clear if it was so and 'asked' a group of american girls if that was the line and they didn't answer and only looked at me as if I was a mugger, lol, they also kept a look in their faces all the way of the line (about 20 mins mind you) as if they were smelling the pit of a sewer. Honestly I know that globalization is a fact but societies must respect other societies and learn the WAYS and social cues of such places and also try to BLEND, this ain't Cancun, this is Mexico city a place of vast Mexicanism (mexicaneidad) and people in this city are used to speak to perfect strangers because is unavoidable due to the fact that we're one of the most populous cities on earth. Go back to White Plains...

Legendary churro chain in Mexico City. Look for the telltale white subway tiling and throngs of people and seek the enticing scent of deep fried cinnamony dough, and you'll know you're in for a treat.

This shop is open-air and little more than a covered walkway with a window to order. Hand sanitizer was provided near the window, as were napkins. Tables scattered around the sidewalk outside but those are frequently occupied and even if you find a table, there's no guarantee there will be chairs. Luckily this is on-the-move food unless you like getting fancy with your dips.

Churros are, well, churros. Your goal should be to get some quantity of warm, crispy, cinnamon-y carb sticks and then sample a dipping sauce. Personally, I enjoyed the churros alone but the Malteadas (milkshakes) are good if your sweet tooth is insatiable. The Paquetes, essentially combo deals, are not that much more of a deal than getting things individually so you don't have to worry about missing out if you're torn between several menu items.

While you wait, feel free to ogle at the employees toiling away over the hot oil backstage (through a window) as they make these delicious...

Was very excited for this and it was a disappointment. The churros were ok and my torta was not great. Worst part was the service. My wife ordered cold chocolate milk and the waiter brought her hot chocolate. Not a big deal, she told the waiter her drink order was wrong and he immediately started arguing with her saying she was lying and she ordered hot chocolate. We got tired of arguing and the waiter said he'd bring her a cup of ice. That's not really a solution. He should've just switched it out the drink instead of causing a scene. We got our food, ate and asked for the bill. The waiter says ok and then disappears. We wait 20 something minutes and then we manage to flag down another waiter and ask for the bill again. He brings us the bill and says the other waiter too his lunch so that's why he didn't bring us the bill. Overall terrible service and unprofessional staff. Don't believe the hype. Get churros...

If you are going on a busy day, I advise you to get prepare with a lot of Paciencia. We went in our stay in Mexico City for 5 nights in a row. The Condesa with Marzipan is Delicious and the churros were always fresh and yummy. Make sure you get in the correct line when you arrive. The one in the left is for ordering, and the right side is for picking up. You can see from the side of the place how the makes the churros! The only thing I didn't like was the floor of the place, it was always dirty, very dirty. I understand with the quantity of people visiting the place it could be challenging to keep it clean, but at least they have to try to clean it it more regularly, and people if you are enjoying your self service churros "in situ" please make sure you put on the garbage your left over, this would help to keep the experience enjoyable for everyone.

Excellent churros. Fresh. Mango sauce is awesome.

The churros are good, but nothing that will knock your socks off. Had other churros in Mexico City from street vendors that were just as good. The real negative was the 45 minute wait. The set-up is very inefficient when ordering at the counter. We just wanted one small bag of churros for 70ish pesos. Everyone first waits in-line to order and pay, then the next line to get the food. No numbering system where the kitchen could manage orders in/out. So, if there is someone ordering a bunch of specialty drinks and such...then the whole process comes to a grinding halt. Having churros packaged and ready for those just wanting that, and then drinks as another thing would have helped. Kind of like Starbucks where simple coffee/muffin/etc orders are fulfilled when paying and specialty drinks and warm food require a wait.
