Bukowski's Bar — Restaurant in Mexico City

Amazing bookstore and restaurant/bar/café. Beautiful outdoor area where we had food and drinks on several occasions during our stay. The staff is so welcoming and the service is excellent. The drinks are great. I recommend a shot of tequila with an accompanying shot of sangrita or a tamarind margarita. They’re delicious. The nachos and empanadas are a good snack. Located in a beautiful neighborhood within Mexico City. I would love to visit again.

Update: It took me two years but I came back. Service was great. Absolutely loved the tamarind frozen Margarita. What the heck kind of blender do they use!? Lol I also had guac and the chicken...

Great guacamole but not great experience. They had a 2 for 1 deal from 7pm-8pm. When we told them we wanted to do that, they said great and we ordered two drinks, but then said we have to also food which the menu didn't state. We ordered food anyways and they said ok great. When we went to pay, they said our drinks didn't qualify for the deal and we had to pay in full. Even though we had a cocktail and beer and the beer was way cheaper. They could have mentioned that when we ordered. We were also playing a quiet game of cards between two people and they told us we had to stop playing or leave because it wasnt...

This is a fantastic establishment, awesome ambience and the drinks and food are amazing. I love all the books. Unfortunately I rate it low due to the terrible service we received from a very cold waitress. It felt like she purposely avoided serving us, she was not helpful. I approached the bar tender to order my own drink after not being served for over an hour and he nodded as to say he would make my drinks. He never did. We left half an hr later after still...
