This will come across fairly b*tchy.

Service and atmosphere are excellent! Very cozy, inviting and warm.

Ordered V60 pourover, natural process coffee. All the Mexican natural process coffees I've tried in CDMX have been great.

V60 pourover puts microscope on technique, roast and coffee bean. It's unforgiving.

That said, I have no idea what other coffee items on menu are like.

You get less than great coffee if anything is off.

Cup was definitely under extracted, a bit weak.

Acidity OK.

Sweetness weak and boring.

Body was very watery. Not great aftertaste.

Most places don't get good extraction in their pourovers (any technique).

Suggest studying Scott Rao for his tips/recipe. Maybe even borrow refractometer to get it REALLY dialed in.

Hope...

We stopped by right before our flight, and the owner and his partner were incredibly welcoming. As a vegan, I’m rarely able to enjoy horchata-based drinks since they typically contain dairy, but they made the cold brew horchata completely dairy-free, and it was amazing! My husband tried their Veracruz specialty coffee, which was equally delicious. The owner took the time to explain the different brewing methods and the origins of their coffees, which made the experience even more special. This was easily one of our favorite spots in CDMX, I highly recommend checking it out!

Side note: totally forgot to take pictures...

Update: I went back today and the very nice barista is Nina. She made me another delicious almond milk mochaccino. Unfortunately, it's her last week at this coffee shop. Good luck on your next adventure Nina! Thank you for the coffee and recommendations, and for being so forgiving about my non-existent Spanish.

Another day, another great coffee shop! Ordered a mochaccino, which apparently is a very popular drink with french people 😂, and a delicious slice of chocolate cookie. All was perfect. I'm also adding this one on my list of regular...
