An incredible restaurant serving some of the best Yucatan food. The staff are incredibly friendly and they have many different options. My friend and I decided to order multiple small plates to enjoy all the different tastes.

We really enjoyed the Quesadilla de Chaya, the tortilla made from Chaya, a leafy bush filled with nutrition and the Pescadilla. The Tortitas de Platáno Macho y Frijol (fried plantain cakes) and the Marquesitas Yucatecas, a classic dessert, were also good, but since I'm not a fan of cheese, these weren't as good in my opinion.

It has a nice setting with an open space, plenty of TVs to watch sports, and fun coatracks by each table.

They have menus in Spanish and English, and the staff are competent with...

I grabbed dinner at La Riviera del Sur by accident when another restaurant I was planning to go to decided to close early.

While it was late, the restaurant was almost completely empty. However the staff was very happy to host me and got me situated right away.

The food was good - the tacos were excellent and in hindsight I should have ordered more of those. I additionally ordered the only chicken main dish they had, and it was acceptable but nothing special. They had a big drink menu and many tequilas and mezcals to choose from.

I think overall this restaurant would have been better if I had made better choices on food selection and additionally if it was at a time when more people were at...

Slightly limited menu for vegetarians - but let me say, the BEST cheese quesadilla I’ve had since coming to Mexico!

Staff were amazingly friendly, the ambience is lovely for a lunch or dinner, and the prices very affordable.

They also serve you complimentary tortilla chips and (real ones, fried and delicious), along with an amazing salsa, hummus & eggplant dips.

Don’t feel rushed. They’re used to dishing out things quickly and fresh - but take your time, order 1 dish at a time, and enjoy your meal for hours!

Portions are fairly normal, but definitely filling. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a good meal and a great...
