Caldos de Gallina " El Calentano" — Restaurant in Mexico City

Picture yourself in the middle of Mexico City at 2AM in the morning. It's cold, wet, and you're starving. All the street vendors are already packed up for the evening. Fast food is available but doesn't sound appealing what so ever. Then you find a 24 hour chicken soup stall on google maps.

We gave the number a call, the owner happily answered and said he was open 365 days a year/24 hours a day. Five minutes later, our group was standing in front of a very humble chicken soup vendor.

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Menu is quite self explanatory. The price of your bowl is dependent on whatever cut of chicken you wanted in your bowl.

I opted for a chicken leg and the option was given for whole or shredded. I received a very very generous bowl of chicken leg and soup. The soup was full of rice and chickpeas. The broth was very clean, rich, and comforting.

Tortillas are made in house. They are a little bit on the thicker side but go so well with the soup.

We also had the enchiladas here. They have mole and salsa verde as options. We preferred the salsa verde.

The food was so comforting that we couldn't help but come back three...

Voy a editar mi opinión, dejando la anterior, por qué en realidad me equivoqué de local, y una reseña mal dada o mal infundada causa mucho daño, pido una disculpa pública a los involucrados, con mi siguiente comentario, la humilda, y el buen trato siempre distinguen a una persona, como es el caso del personal de este establecimiento, muchas gracias por sus atenciones, y sigan cómo van.
