China Shing — Restaurant in Mexico City

Well there's a first for everything... and in this case, I'm finally writing a bad review. I ordered food for delivery and it said it would take 50-65 minutes to deliver. I'm like, "OK, their score is a 4.7". So I'm thinking this place has to be good hence the long delivery time (even though i'm 5 minutes away), but... Nope. This food was cold, soggy, barely any sauce in the hunan chicken and as far as the dragon chicken goes... it was damn near neglected of sauce. This is insane to know a 4.7 rating exists with this place. Dead serious, I could've just walked around the corner and got way better chinese food from... can't believe I'm gonna say this... PANDA EXPRESS. Yup, ye ol' P.E. has better chinese food than this place. This isn't a joke nor an exaggeration either. Now to add insult to injury, I paid 45 usd for 2 entrees and 2 orders of regular steamed rice. And the portions for the price is silly. If I knew it was going to be cold and soggy, I would've just picked up some chinese food from the frozen section and pulled off the same thing with ease. Do you have Microwaves for cooks there? Put it this way, if I would've given this food to a homeless man, he would've threw it back at me for disrespecting him. This place definitely is the worst Chinese food I've ever had in my entire life. Look, I've had better Chinese food slapped into a Styrofoam container at the bootleg food court in the local mall back in the early 90s. That says alot about this place. They don't have a negative five stars rating, so I have to settle for the 1 star rating....

Excellent service by Noemi, nice atmosphere & delicious food! I had the single special for 199 and you get to choose 3 items. I had the vegetable spring roll, wonton soup & peppered beef. The roll light & crispy, the wonton’s in the soup were tender & meaty but best of all was the tender grilled & very flavorful beef with carrots, squash & onions all grilled in a light sauce. For my drink I had a Naranadja natural. For dessert the sweet egg rolls were filled with a sweet cream cheese & jelly that were lightly fried and rolled in cinnamon sugar. My hubby had 2 Pork spring rolls & sweet & sour pork. The pork was a very generous serving and the pork was crispy & covered in a sweet & sour sauce with carrots, onions & pineapple. We left feeling comfortable. We plan to return as we saw some other interesting & different...

Pros:

Service was quick and the app is user friendly, the delivery person was very polite.

Cons:

We paid for the family package, the noodles and chop suey were served only a little more than a quarter of the way in each box. Ridiculous for $45 USD, I doubt the workers wages account for the price.

The dumplings are NOT real dumplings, they were breaded like an empanada and not made from the traditional rice flour true Chinese cuisine uses.

Egg rolls were AWFUL, filled with some kind of creamy paste (similar “paste” like filling in the dumpling which didn’t have a trace of crab although stating otherwise).

Overall probably some of the worst Chinese food I’ve ever eaten. I’ve had Chinese food in Mexico in other restaurants but this is truly one of the worst that I’ve ever had. Mediocre,...
