I had the pleasure of dining at Cutre Bar, the newest addition to Mexico City's culinary scene, and I must say, it's a remarkable experience. Opened just two weeks ago, this oyster restaurant has quickly gained popularity for all the right reasons.
The star of the show at Cutre Bar is undoubtedly their fresh oysters, which are delivered daily. The variety of oyster types they offer is truly impressive, and each one is a taste sensation in itself. From briny and delicate to plump and creamy, Cutre Bar's oysters are a testament to their commitment to sourcing only the finest seafood.
What sets Cutre Bar apart is the inventive approach of their chef. They've skillfully incorporated regional chili sauces into their dishes, creating a unique fusion of flavors that tantalize the taste buds. The combination of the rich, buttery oysters with the bold kick of these sauces is nothing short of spectacular.
The ambiance at Cutre Bar is lively and youthful, making it the perfect spot for a night out with friends or a romantic evening. The social seating arrangement encourages mingling and adds to the overall energetic atmosphere. The staff is not only attentive but also incredibly friendly, making you feel like a welcomed guest from the moment you walk in.
It's worth noting that Cutre Bar can get quite busy during the evenings, which is a testament to its growing popularity. I recommend making a reservation if you plan to visit during peak hours to ensure you secure a table.
In conclusion, Cutre Bar is a breath of fresh air in Mexico City's dining scene. With its dedication to offering fresh oysters, inventive regional chili sauces, and a vibrant atmosphere, it's no wonder it's become a hotspot in such a short time. Whether you're a seasoned oyster enthusiast or simply looking for a unique culinary adventure, Cutre Bar is a must-visit...
Read moreChic oyster bar with a solid variety of food and drink selection in a minimalistic, industrial setting.
Highlights for me:
The “frutas” oyster - it comes with a fruit, avocado and hot sauce topping that balances the salinity of the oyster
Shrimp skewer - basic dish but nonetheless tasty (recommend adding lemon juice)
The tuna sashimi and cheese plates were tasty as well (good ingredients)
Overall a trendy spot with the social vibe of a bar. Service is friendly and attentive. The menu offers enough gluten-free...
