Omg what
(This place has veggie options)
My family who are from Mexico City recommend this place. It's pretty hard to find since it's tucked away behind a garden.
They have a set menu on weekdays and you can choose your protein for the main meal. I had potato and my grandmother had chicken.
The set menu (as of 2024) is around $7 USD (130 pesos) and it includes a drink, appetizer, main meal, salsas, bread, tortillas AND dessert.
Like, I actually had reverse sticker shock.
On weekends they have everything to order off the menu. Pretty much all main meals are under $6 USD and they're a really good size.
The staff were super nice and made dishes vegetarian for us which was incredibly accommodating. The mole will haunt your dreams it was so good.
Everything was super fresh and healthy. They have these water juice things that you just have to drink to understand. They'll make them out of pretty much any fruit you can imagine. It was like nature's healthy Gatorade or something.
We've been there twice already and we plan on coming back to try their breakfast. Every time we've been it's been empty and I can't figure out why?!
Seriously HIDDEN...

Right of the bat there's a nice garden up front giving such a serene vibe, you can hear the birds chirping. It's our last day in CDMX and I was craving some mole so I immediately asked if they were only serving desayunos (breakfast), and luckily for me, they were serving the whole menu all day.
My partner got a breakfast plate with eggs and tortillas, while I got the Pollo mole poblano, it was soooo good I cleaned the whole plate with the side of bread they gave us to eat with the side of salsa instead. I highly recommend this place for your traditional Mexican dishes for...
Read moreI came here for breakfast on Sunday morning and was surprised that this place even existed. It's tucked away behind a garden on a residential/school street.
This setting gives it unique garden vibe, while existing smack dab in the center of the city.
The server was very friendly and efficient. I ordered the Huevos a la Hacienda which is basically scrambled eggs cooked in a bean-y salsa with some chunks of cheese on top. Think Mexican shakshuka.
It was flavored perfectly and the bread and corn tortillas were a perfect accompaniment. I literally ate every last morsel.
Looking forward...
