Good bread, decent omelette, mediocre dessert, atrocious service.

Further explanation following the owner's response.

The dessert as in my picture was recommended by a member of staff. It was a pandoro cake covered in chocolate and enriched with nuts. It was perfectly edible but it was very dry and quite blunt. At least, I found it disappointing. I was not aware that I was entitled to a replacement. I don't think I saw any statement like that throughout the cafe or on the menu. Furthermore, nothing like that was mentioned by the staff. Possibly at my next visit I will try to ask for a free replacement and see what happens!

My comment about the service requires a further explanation. We were let in and sat at a table. The waitress took our order and soon communicated to us that not even one juice out of a fairly long list was longer available as it was over. It was around noon. As soon as the order was in, we have been asked to leave our table because a photographer was due to arrive and chose our table to take pictures of the food. I was not served the bread I had ordered with the omelette. I had to ask for it four times. It was eventually given to me 10 minutes after...

Wish I had read the comments prior to choosing this place 🤌🏼

The place is located in a very nice corner in Coyoacan. We didn’t have a terrible experience with the servers although there’s room for improvement here, also. The reason why I’m not recommending this restaurant is the terrible food. We ordered:

Chilaquiles verdes, you get the most basic oily chips and salsa. For the price you pay you expect a bit more effort. A fair example is Cafe Toscano, decent chilaquiles with their own style, I’ve had the vegetarians 👌🏼

Salmon gravlax, this is where things get ugly. Not only did it look absolutely disgusting, it tasted terrible, I just had a tiny bite and decided not to continue. I ordered the rest to go but I end up throwing it away as I felt indigestion moments after. (Adding photo).

The place has potential since the location is fantastic. Based on my experience and some of the comments I’ve read, the main focus should be on food quality and overall experience. That in mind, the coffee and a pain au choc weren’t bad but there are other nice places in the area, might be worth it to explore...

The truth si that it was not a pleasant experiencie. On the part of the food they have something good, but to tell the truth in the service not entirely good. Before I continue to clarify something, un terms of the username that I have, we are all free to put the name we want, if it affects you in that, anyway. As another point to address, it is not very pleasant to see how they treat a staff who says they are new working in their place, the truth is, I do not know if they are managers or in charge of how they treat those who are occupying a workplace, notice of how they get along whit other workers and seeing how they boy who is in the box told him in a not so good way about how he did his work, knowing that he is someone new and has to be attached. Their attitude is very bab, that's why my rating because it is not fair to me that they do that with their staff, discriminate against one and get along...
