The best ice cream shop in la Roma. Let me tell you why.

I live here and I know my ice cream.

There are a lot of overpriced ice cream shops around Álvaro Obregón street. That might be good but not the best. Helado Bonito is the best.

The consistency of the ice cream itself it’s nothing but perfect. And the flavours…my God. First, they change constantly and I hope you can find Cacahuate (which is peanut, not peanut butter. Peanut. There is a difference). Hope also you can find Cajeta, and Cookies and Cream…Jesus H Christ. Cardamomo the spice it’s also amazing. Now, they top every ice cream with a small pretzel cookies. It does the trick really.

Also, the cone is high quality.

And the best part. The ice cream balls itself are BIG. Well served, amazing cream, perfect consistency, friendly staff (sometimes you can find the owner), reasonably priced. Ice cream perfection Helado Bonito is.

Happened to walk by this corner gelato spot. Took a chance, I was greeted immediately by a friendly smiling guy behind the counter. He patiently explained the flavors and ingredients. I wasn’t sure which one to choose from as all of them looked amazing. He kindly offered me samples on more than 6 flavors! I narrowed it down to the Cacao- let me tell you, it was the best chocolate flavor I’ve tried! Not too sweet, great depth of flavor, clean ingredients, vegan, with coconut sugar, no soy. To top it all off, the nice guy ( I didn’t get his name), asked what other flavor I liked and gave me a free scoop of strawberry. A must try gelato shop in a great neighborhood, friendly staff. We really enjoyed our visit to Helado Bonito! The service was so impressive. They took their time and let us try so many ice cream flavors and all of them tasted fantastic! We got the three scoops: chocolate, peanut butter, and banana. They were all really tasty. I only have one piece of feedback: I wish that you could do sizes instead of number of scoops. I wanted to have multiple flavors, but that meant I had to buy three scoops, which ended up being way too much ice cream for me! I wish you could do one scoop and divide it by multiple flavors.
