La Buena Fe — Restaurant in Mexico City

Nice place to have dinner at Mexico City south area. Restaurant environment is nice and comfortable. Service is OK. And meals are of good quality. Perhaps prices are little high as it seems tables are "informal" but in general one gets good experience at this restaurant.

Perhaps the negative is that the open area is also for smoking section. And so, for those of us that do not smoke is not good idea as from time to time at having dinner the smell of cigarettes and cigars is really not happy time.

Another "but" this restaurant has parking (valet) and so it has a fixed cost. That is something I would challenge as restaurants and businesses shod have parking place for their customers at no cost and even when restaurant bills are over 200USD. Few restaurants in Mexico City understand that and they do deliver value (parking place) at no cost... of course we always tip the valet parking... so, again, charging additional fixed cost for parking is not that these businesses are focused to...

This is an outstanding restaurant in every single point, it's one of my favorite restaurants in Mexico city. The food is very tasty. The service can't get better, there are at least 2 waiters pending if you need something. In breakfast the fruit is very fresh and the coffee it's on point. For dinner, if you go on a date, the waiter put some pocpcorns for the entrance and fish "aguachile". Also other strength is the decor, it's very cosy and recreates a cottage. And if you're wine type person, they have a very big selection depending...

The screens all around showing sports and the high volume music don't make for a classy place. However the food was more than acceptable. We had tacos, both seafood and meat, but the menu beside Mexican offers a lot Spanish classics. The veranda is seemingly sought-after, but honestly given the view of the traffic, the cigarette smoke and the noise, I would prefer to dine in the more atmospheric inner rooms next time.
