Not worthy of a 4-star rating. I stayed for one night in the fall of 2024 and I'm very glad it was not for longer.
The check-in time given by the confirmation email was at noon, but I arrived at the hotel at 1. The staff at the front desk tells me that check-in won't be for another hour and a half or so due to housekeeping or some other logistical error. Fine, nothing I can do about it. I leave the hotel and find something to do in the meantime. When I return, they say again that check-in won't be for another hour. They did nothing to apologize for the delay and 4 or 5 other guests were stuck waiting in the lobby to stare at the walls too. There was no consideration at all for guests' time and no emphasis on customer service. Staff is inattentive and unengaged.
When I finally get into my room at around 4 PM, to which the concierge didn't even deliver my bag as a courtesy, I find myself in a stylistically outdated room. The thin walls, sounds of traffic below, broken sink, and non-existent wi-fi were what I was welcomed to. I can't believe a hotel like this is operational in this manner, given that the experience is so poor. The only thing I liked about the stay was the size of the room, the view and the large bathtub. Knowing what I know now though, I would've preferred staying at another hotel entirely. Perhaps it's fine if you only intend to sleep there but not so much if you'd actually like to enjoy the accommodations.
The reviews on Google do not accurately reflect the quality and value of the location. In fact, I think most of the reviews with 5 stars and no context are not from legitimate customers or even real people. There are much better options in the city, consider...
Read moreWe are in an express trip, very tired, and had to find a one night acomodation with no time for a deep planning. ||We found the green park hotel and it seemed ok.||||At first the hotel look very nice, an old hotel but a handsome one, then you start to notice the poor conditions: the non functioning air extractor at the bathroom, the small shampoo, conditioner and soap, the dirty curtains, the black spots at the shower and the worst, hair and a stain at the bed sheets and bathroom and stained furniture.||||We had to ask for more shampoo and soap, and they only gave us two little small bottles and another small soap.||||And, when I asked for a bed sheet replacement, they told me that at this hour (23:00 hrs), they have no personal to change the sheets and they can't provide me with a clean bed sheet, because they have no access to them!. ||||My husband was very tired and didn't want me to ask for another room, but the concierge didn't offered it either, the only answer to our problem was a simple "sorry". ||||So, here we are, stucked in a disgusting and unclean room, feeling ripped, very tired and with a no good rest night ahead. ||||The good thing is that, from the balcony, you have a very pretty view of the trees and some tall buildings, if the cleanliness and attention were good, this could be a charming hotel. ||||If you can pay for this dirty place, you can afford a better quality one by the same price, do not waste your money...
Read moreI've stayed here several times, and I highly recommend you do as well. It is a great hotel. The staff is extremely welcoming, accommodating, and friendly. The staff and accommodations make me feel at home during every stay. The hotel is a pleasant refuge after spending time out and about in this bustling mega metropolis. Though often chaotic, I love Mexico City - the amazing and cosmopolitan political, cultural, and economic center of Mexico. The Green Park's location is perfect, somewhat off the beaten path but close to upscale neighborhoods, gourmet restaurants, and important sights in this historic city. The rooms are spacious, clean, and nicely appointed, and the bathrooms are huge with large showers and bathtubs, which my wife found quite relaxing. I've always had a room overlooking Chapultepec Park with a balcony and a beautiful view. Rooms with park views are the only way to go. The entire hotel is welcoming, clean, and well maintained. I've stayed in several Mexico City hotels, but the Green Park is my favorite. It's my go to home away from home in...
