I have been trying to wrap my head around how this place has so many 5 star reviews. The service was slow and mediocre, the food was the quality of something I make when I have to be out the house quickly (it wasn’t bad per-say, it was just nothing special. I ordered the pescado a la brasa, the fish had no spices or sauce but it was well cooked, and side veggies were just roughly stir fried and tossed in oil (no spices, so sauces). My husband’s tacos were dry and the portobello mushroom side dish (for which we asked for the cheese on the side which came with the cheese on it) was disgusting. If you finish a full day of shopping in the mall (because it is in a mall) and your kids are yelling and tired I could maybe recommend this place, but if your looking for a 5 star gastronomic experience please don’t waste your money or your time. I will also say that both my husband and I feel absolutely awful this morning after eating there last night. For 90% of people would definitely...
Read moreMy fiancé booked this restaurant a month in advance for a special Valentine's Day dinner. Just TWO days before our reservation, they contacted me demanding an additional payment of 500 pesos to "keep" our reservation. Not only is it outrageous to charge such a fee just to hold a table, but doing it at the last minute left us with no time to make alternative plans.
When I refused to pay the unreasonable fee, they canceled our reservation. By then, every other nice restaurant in the area was fully booked for Valentine's Day, ruining what was supposed to be a special evening.
I’ve never been so disappointed with a supposedly high-caliber restaurant. This kind of unprofessional and greedy behavior is completely unacceptable. I would not recommend this place to anyone, especially for special occasions. Save yourself the hassle and disappointment—there are far better...
Read moreUbaldo Carmona and his crew were wonderful. We cannot say enough. All aspects of our experience were remarkable. The outstanding service from Sergio was spot on, he didn’t miss a thing. The relaxed but yet perfect vibe, the quality of the food…I could go on and on. We’ve been in Mexico City a month visiting from DC and this is, by far, our most favorite meal. We highly recommend the ribeye a la tabla medium rare. The best steak I’ve ever had in my life. The tuna tartar and shrimp and avocado appetizers were excellent. Again, Sergio was awesome without being obtrusive. Very easygoing and just nice. Also, if you have room, the chocolate cake flambé was such a thrill to watch let alone taste. No words for how...
