Péshé — Restaurant in Mexico City

I came here to eat with my friends, 4 of us, we arrived around 11am (we were the only people at the time after like 5 minutes another table arrived) the waitress took our order, then the table after us, I’d say we waited a while for our food. When she brings it she only brings 2, we thought maybe she was bringing the rest, I waited other 10 minutes for my food. THEN she still forgot the last dish telling us “it’s already almost done” when in reality she came back telling us “we are out of the ingredients so we can make something else” walks away without checking up on us again, we order the salmon toast. The waitress FORGETS about it again, we wait like 20 minutes, I go and ask if it’s even coming bc at this point we all finished eating. She pulls out the toast from behind her and says “it’s ready do you wanna take it yourself”. Rude service, she tried to excuse that there were “many people” when there was only 2 tables and 1 of them had their food before us and the other were just drinking coffee. I found it very disrespectful that after waiting almost an hour to eat as a group she still said “do you wanna take it (the dish she forgot) yourself” The cochinita molletes were very good but the salmon toast was saggy and the waffles were...

Es una verdadera lastima ya que el lugar es muy bonito y las opiniones que leímos nos convencieron de visitarlo para festejar un momento especial. Al principio tuve mis dudas de haber llegado al lugar indicado, pues en lugar del trato amable y la sonrisa que alaban en muchos comentarios, nos encontramos con un mesero algo apático. Cuando al fin desocupó el menú como abanico para secar la mesa pude ver que efectivamente estabamos en el lugar correcto. Notamos que tenia un problema de cojera, por lo que comprendimos la molestia que le provocó el que llegáramos y tuviera que pararse de la silla en la que estaba descansando. Por otro lado, nos extrañó que un jueves a las cinco y media de la tarde el lugar estuviera vacío y aún así el servicio fuera inexplicablemente lento. Parecía que acababan de abrir, pues pedimos unas papas a la francesa y el chico nos advirtió que se tardarían porque apenas pondrían la freidora. Como ya teníamos algo de hambre preferimos lo "más rapido", un guacamole que entre dos personas que estaban en la cocina tardaron más de 20 minutos en llevarnos. Entendemos el concepto de slow food, pero 20 minutos para hacer un guacamole, sin haber ningún otro pedido en el momento, no lo habíamos experimentado antes. Quiza no estaban listos para tantas personas... En fin, el guacamole y el croissant de salmón que pedí estaban bien, nada particularmente memorable, el problema fue la pasta blanca que pidió mi esposo. Los camarones tenían un olor extraño y cierto gusto de congelador. Por desgracia, en un exceso de cortesía evitando ser grosero con el chico y los cocineros (y por no soportar otra media hora de espera por una preparación igual), se los comió. Inmediatamente comenzó a tener un malestar estomacal, causándole nauseas y vomitos apenas un par de horas después. Estamos seguros que fueron los camarones, pues fue lo único que comió el día de hoy que yo no. Desde luego, enfrentamos nuestra responsabilidad al no haber regresado el plato en cuanto percibimos que estaba malo, pero sacar de la cocina camarones echados a perder o mal cocinados es un enorme problema que tarde o temprano terminará por explotarle al lugar. Aquí no aplica que lo barato sale caro, pues esta lección de vida de más de $650.00, con el 10% de propina, nos queda a deber por mucho. Por lo pronto, esperando que no se agraven las enfermizas consecuencias de haber comido ahí, nos contentaremos con no volver y dejando la crónica de nuestra fatídica experiencia, esperando pueda servirles de advertencia a aquellos que, como nosotros, solo quieran disfrutar una tarde especial...

I returned to this cafe after enjoying a tasty sandwich and mocktail on a previous visit. This time, I tried their coffee, which had a delightful, naturally fruity flavor without needing any sugar. I found out they source their coffee beans from Veracruz, which was interesting. Overall, I was impressed with their diverse menu options and the pleasant flavor combinations they offer without compromising quality.

The cafe's atmosphere is unique compared to other coffee places. It's filled with natural light and lots of plants, giving it a greenhouse-like feel. It's a peaceful spot away from the hustle and bustle, making it perfect for working on your laptop, having casual work meetings, or going on a relaxed date. The service was friendly and attentive.
