Pakaá — Restaurant in Mexico City

A great spot for a delicious and well-priced set lunch menu in a quiet corner of San Rafael. During the lunch rush, I visited Pakaa and was promptly handed a menu, though it took a little while to have my order taken. I opted for the menú del día and chose the chicken as my main course.

The soup arrived shortly after I ordered, and while it wasn’t explained to me what type of soup it was, it was cozy and delicious. The main dish—a beautifully presented chicken with salad and rice—came next. The chicken was seasoned perfectly, making it flavorful and satisfying, while the salad had a delightful dressing that complemented the meal. The accompanying drink was tasty, though again, its exact flavor wasn’t clear.

The only hiccup was the payment process. Although I paid with a credit card, the owner didn’t accept tips via the card terminal, leaving me scrambling for cash to leave a tip—a rare and slightly inconvenient policy.
