Vips — Restaurant in Mexico City

I came here with my girlfriend on what seemed like a slow Wednesday afternoon. There were three employees behind the front counter, and getting the attention from any of them to see the menu took some effort. They seemed more focused on doing their paperwork then helping me. We finally decided to find a table on our own. After about 15 minutes of sitting here, a Server made her way to our table and took our orders. I went for the philly con queso sandwich which included refried beans, and a side order of french fries. She ordered the Vips club sandwich. We sat around for abother 15 minutes. The Server was helpful and nice. Soon enough we were enjoying our well deserved late lunch, and the rest of the experience...

Bad service and attitude. After coming to VIPS very frequently, this time there was an "area closed" sign on the table. Usually they place this sign deeper on another table, not today. This specific table has electricity socket which doesn't require diving under the table and breaking your neck to connect the charger/laptop and hence is the better choice. The angry waiter actively argued and refused to help. I'm not coming here to argue but to eat. The service was already deteriorating for quite some time....

Poor service, it took nearly 40 minutes to get food, and 50 minutes to get our drinks. The food was poor quality, but as others have said not as cheap as you’d expect.

The loud intercom in the ceiling played a local action movie so we got to listen to people get beat up while we ate. This audio did not match all the tv’s playing random music videos throughout the establishment.

There are better options nearby, and we won’t...
