This is a really interesting restaurant, tucked out of the way in a side street and completely hidden from view. You would never know it is there just from walking in the street, as there are no signs. Just look for the three palm trees and the staircase to the yellow tower and you'll find it. (make sure to make a reservation via Instagram or WhatsApp beforehand as they don't accept walk-ins)
Once inside, the space is stunning, with tables outdoors in the garden, and an inside section in what looks like a large greenhouse. The music was kept at a level where it was easy to maintain a conversation. There was no DJ while we were there, but the space looks set up in a way to accommodate one. I think this would be a great space for parties. The only knock on the atmosphere, my girlfriend found the chairs to be somewhat uncomfortable.
Food-wise, the menu is interesting. We shared the labneh with pita bread and it was excellent. This is not a dish I often see on menus in Mexico. The ravioli were good, but I wouldn't say were mindblowing. I appreciated the creativeness of the potato and carrot gratin, but found the portion size a little small considering the price. The fruit tart desert was my girlfriend's favorite course. It was tasty, fresh and beautifully presented. The cocktails were also original and delicious.
Overall, I definitely recommend Margarita Concept Garden. The space and concept is really unique, and the menu was full of interesting options. I will definitely go back and try more of...
Read moreThis place is amazing. The garden beautifully inspired by Margarita Urueta Sierra, a renowned poet whose works explored nature, romance, and the complexities of the human soul, and we totally felt it that way while visiting. The atmosphere is enchanting, effortlessly blending lush, vibrant gardens filled with flowers and a tranquil ponds, with a spectacular view of the mountains surrounding Tepoztlan.
We started with their signature cocktails: Romeo and Juliette, Terra, Familio, and Fauno. Each drink was thoughtfully crafted and delicious, but Romeo and Juliette truly stood out. The presentation was captivating, making the experience memorable even before taking the first sip.
For food, we indulged in both available desserts the strawberry tart and the avocado ice cream with the brownie. Both were delightful, particularly impressive as vegetarian options. We also enjoyed the tacos, which were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented.
The attention to detail throughout the restaurant from the stunning garden layout to the charming table arrangements—made the entire experience unforgettable. Margarita Concept Garden is more than just dining; it’s an immersive journey into poetic beauty and culinary delight. The service was also a great experience. Highly recommended for anyone...
Read moreAbsolutely fantastic! The food here is the best I’ve had in many years. The gnocchi was absolutely divine! The prices here are higher than most places but if you want to treat yourself I would strongly recommend coming here. The inside is beautiful with the full glass ceiling and loads of plants making it a very private experience. Staff were lovely and always happy to help, the outside seating is also lovely and they have a terrace to smoke on. Definitely get the chocolate cake with Abocado ice cream if it’s available! Maybe they need a different white wine selection as the types of white wine were more suited to fish and starters, however still...
