Avoid this at all costs. I don't say this lightly but I have never had such a terrible dining experience. We have been in Mexico a couple of weeks, and decided to end our trip in Tepoztlan which is beautiful and I recommend you pay it a visit. However, do not go to this restaurant. Having decided to take my partner for a treat, we looked at what were positive reviews and decided to give this spot a go. I have never in my life recieved such scornful service, and in such a disinterested and rude manner. We arrived at 8:30pm had a starter and main course which were great and despite the poor service were making the most of it. Then we were told the restaurant was closing at 10 pm with no offer of a dessert and with the bill laid on the table. Despite this being a relatively expensive place, there was no care for the fact that we had not finished our meal. We were suprised and asked why we could not have the 3 courses you would expect but this was met with shrugs. I was a chef for 5 years and never would I treat guests this way. It was quiet when we arrived and now we know why. Very sad because it could be a nice place. I hope they improve, but for now -...
Read moreI would like to start by saying that most of the pictures shown on this review and others do not do this place justice. The views of the Tepozteco and the town are amazing. It is hard to capture the atmosphere of this place through pictures. We made a reservation here to celebrate our 15 yr anniversary. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. They recognized that we were there to celebrate a special occasion by sitting us at a table with an awesome view, possibly the best table at the restaurant. Our waiter Chris was so nice, he even kindly obliged when we asked him to be our photographer. The food itself was delicious and very reasonably priced. The courses were timed so that we would enjoy each course without feeling rushed. For dessert, they brought us out our flan with a congratulatory message on the plate. This place is a must try if you come to Tepoztlan for a special occasion or simply to enjoy some great food and...
Read more2 stars are for the incredible views and beautiful building. Minus 3 stars because the food is microwaved trash that I would expect my teenage son to cook when home alone.
The waiters are friendly and attentive, but the food is absolutely disgusting, especially when you consider the price. Bolognese meat tasted like dog food, the raviolis weren't fresh, and the bread was stale.
I went here for a special birthday meal with my family and was extremely disappointed. It's probably an good place for a beer during the day,...
