Alas Blancas Restaurante — Restaurant in Nayarit

We were in Salyulita for 2 weeks. This was one of the best restaurant experiences we had. The service was amazing and so accommodating of our toddler. The kid's fettucine alfredo is huge and delicious. It was a very relaxing meal. Bonus that our toddler was completely entertained by the sand the whole time. I love craft cocktails and wasn't really picking this restaurant for the cocktail menu as much as the location and ambience, so I was surprised that the Vampi was one of the best cocktails I had on the entire trip. The Caimin was also very good. They're sophisticated drinks, but not complicated for the sake of being complicated. We're in town for two more days and this is on my short list of places I'm trying to visit again...

Late this afternoon I decided to walk into Sayulita Centro and try Alas Blancas, a restaurant on the beach. It was recommended by my complex property manager. The wine I picked, a Malbec, was very good - although glass was a wee bit small. Had the crab appetizer. Then had the fish filet tacos (3), with a fresh cut tomato mix and a wonderful chipotle mayo. I had been forewarned that the prices were higher than others on the beach, but well worth it. The place was quiet at first - I arrived at 5:30pm. Within 30 minutes all tables were taken. Top quality and presentation! This was unexpectedly amazing— I thought that their beachfront location was the reason for higher-than-usual prices, but in reality, it’s the portion and quality of their food/service. Our server was very accommodating and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the entire meal. His recommendations were spot-on, and we enjoyed everything we ordered.
