⚠️ Shady Business Practices – Tourists Beware ⚠️

During our stay in Sayulita, we visited many beachfront spots, and this was by far the worst experience. When we arrived, the waiter told us we could use the lounge chairs as long as we ordered drinks—which we did. We got a margarita (around 200 pesos) and a virgin mojito (they brought a virgin piña colada instead) for 100 pesos.

We asked for the food menu right away, but after 30 minutes and a reminder, we still didn’t receive it. Tired of waiting, we eventually grabbed a quick bite from a beach vendor. The moment we sat back down with the food, the waiter returned with an attitude and told us outside food wasn’t allowed. I explained we had asked multiple times for the menu but never got it. He just walked away.

When it came time to pay, we were shocked to be charged 500 pesos. I asked why, and he said each lounge chair costs 500 pesos—but they were giving us a “discount” from the original 1000 pesos. This was never mentioned when we arrived.

Compared to the many honest and friendly beach businesses in Sayulita, this one stands out for all the wrong reasons. Most places are upfront about minimum spend or fees, and service is quick and welcoming. This spot was the complete opposite.

Avoid this place unless you want to get scammed. Plenty of other amazing beachfront options in Sayulita—don’t let this one...

We had the best time at GOAT Beach Club in Sayulita! The setting was beautiful and relaxing, but what truly made our experience unforgettable was our incredible server, Danny.
