El Sazón de Amá — Restaurant in Nayarit

WOW. I would give them a million stars if I could! This was absolutely without a doubt the BEST service we have ever seen and this is coming from a foodie couple who has been to countless 5 star restaurants. The steak was amazing and better than the highest rated steak dinners we have had at a fraction of the cost!

My boyfriend took me here for our three year anniversary. Viktor and his team were the most warm and welcoming people we have ever come across in our international travels. When we first walked in they set up a sign and balloons for us which alone made us feel special. But oh no that’s not even the beginning of their amazing service!! Viktor personally brought us a fan without us even asking to cool us off and he checked in many times making sure we were comfortable.

After our surf and turf they brought out bowls and poured lemon water on our hands over the bowls to get the seafood stench off. Now that’s 5 star service!! And of course they couldn’t let us leave without a chocolate delicacy on the house!

But that’s STILL not even the best part. I was thinking to myself okay wow that has to be all they already went above and beyond! But nope. They brought out cheesecake and sparklers and clapped and celebrated with us for us for our 3 years!!! ama doesn’t just provide dinner, they provide and experience. They provide a feeling. It truly made the difference between a busy chaotic first day in PV and a lovely romantic vibrant night. We will remember this experience forever. A truly upper echelon...

El Salón de Ama was absolutely wonderful from start to finish! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel like family. Service was attentive without being rushed, which really added to the overall experience.

We started with chips and salsa, which were prepared fresh right at the table. The salsa had the perfect balance of spice and flavor, and the chips came out hot and perfectly crisp—so much better than your average starter. It was the perfect way to begin the meal.

For the main course, I ordered the shrimp Alfredo, and it was truly delicious. The sauce was creamy and rich, yet not overpowering, with just the right amount to coat the pasta. The shrimp were fresh, tender, and seasoned beautifully, making every bite well-balanced and satisfying.

Just when we thought the meal couldn’t get any better, the staff surprised us with a complimentary dessert. That thoughtful touch really showed how much pride they take in making guests feel special.

Overall, El Salón de Ama is more than just a place to eat—it’s an experience. Between the friendly staff, freshly prepared food, and little surprises that make the evening memorable, this is a restaurant I would highly recommend to anyone looking for more than just a great meal. AMAzing! This restaurant won our hearts and was the favourite restaurant for 18 of our friends over our 3 weeks stay. Everything can be complemented here, the decor, the service, the food presentation, the flavours. Seriously the best tasting food over every other option, food quality that would be a 5 star back at home. This place has so many special elements included, the service team, the extra table offerings and surprises that make each visit special.

The value here also has to be mentioned as they are able to do all of this with most of their dishes in the same or lower price range compared to the higher priced resort options that have inferior service and average food.

Our best wish is that more people learn of this best kept secret on the north end of the mall. Where a little elegant restaurant that was built around a family becomes part of your family by the end of your trip. We are sure you will all ring the bell on your way out.
