Nopalitos — Restaurant in Nayarit

What. An. Embarrassment. First off, we had a large group of 7 so we expected a small wait. The server said 5 minutes, and was trying to rush people to leave from their tables so we could be seated which was extremely rude. We get seated and get handed disgusting dirty and torn menus with burn marks on them. We get our drinks and food ordered, and this is when the fun begins. After about 30 minutes of no server stopping by, finally the bus boy sees all of our drinks our empty and had to yell to the waiter who was standing around yelling at the kitchen to come. A different waiter takes our order for drinks, then the original waiter comes and says no, I'll take them, so again we ordered the drinks. Finally get our drinks again, and another 15 minutes later we get brought chips and salsa (45 minutes after ordering our food). Another 20 minutes later 2 people got brought food at the table. Waited a bit and decided to just eat as no one else was getting brought food. 30 minutes later without a single server stopping by FINALLY 2 more plates get brought. All of our drinks are empty again but didn't get asked for refills and the 2 people who finished eating never got asked if anything was good or if we needed something to drink. Another 10 minutes later one person got their food, and another 10 minutes later another got their food. Here's the best part, 20 minutes later, we finally got the last plate of food. That's right, an entire HOUR between the first person getting served to the last at our table. Finally everyone got their food, which tasted all pretty good thankfully. We had to again wave down and yell for a server to get drinks again as they ran away so fast after setting down our food. 15 minutes later we're finally done, again having to wave down a server as they never stopped by (at this point there was only 7 tables with people and 3 servers, no excuses that it was busy). Finally got our checks, left the money as the server was standing there watching us. He grabs them, brings back change, and walks away. Doesn't say thank you, doesn't say sorry, doesn't offer any discount or free food. The entire time of this tragedy this waiter was staring into the kitchen yelling at people and laughing with the other servers, but never once acknowledged his customers other than we someone had to yell at him. Absolutely horrible and disrespectful to the customers and the staff. The food probably would have came out faster if the server quit harassing the kitchen staff. Again, the food was pretty good all things considered, but the service was the worst I've ever seen in a restaurant. Just say NOPE...

We have been clients for years but the last visit there will surely be our last . The testy waiter gave me the wrong order- I didn’t know until I saw the bill and the dish he gave me was $30 pesos more - I complained but was shamed and blamed. Eventually they cooked up an amount for the bill still not sure how they arrived at the final total. I asked for change for a $100 pesos bill to leave a $50 peso tip and was told - no change- not true- when I didn’t leave the $100 pesos I was told “va a la chingada!” Go to hell ! We are done! Nobody treats good clients like that and hopes that they won’t object! Give this place a miss! The meals anyway are very variable and inconsistent- sometimes the corn soup is rich and creamy but too often watery. Sorry Nopalitos you have lost us ! This is not a place I'd recommend. The cleanliness is just about passable, the menus they handed us were totally greesy and torn-up, I looked around and saw that every one of them was in the same condition. The main waiter seemed oddly inattentive, he kind'a didn't look directly at us, sort'a through us in a weird way. We ordered our meal, some natcho and salsa arrived soon after and our meal followed that fairly quickly, so that part was good. Now the food was not very tasty, we ordered the seafood platter for two. Mostly everything was rubbery and not very appetizing looking - nice and hot though.
