We were on vacation with my wife and children, my wife began to feel bad, started vomiting and diarrhea, so we took her to the hospital, when we arrived we received excellent care in the consultation, but when the doctor mentioned to the admission people that she had to enter to the emergency area they asked us for 70 thousand pesos and I mentioned to them that I did not have that amount in my credit card that if I could leave less (besides my insurance had already sent authorization to attend my wife in the emergency area) and what this guy “ The boss” of the area answered me was that if he did not had enough I should solve the situation as soon as possible because she could not be attended without leaving that amount of money, The two employees that were asking me for the retention mentioned that they could try with 50 thousand, which I responded yes, but the same “boss” who previously told me that “ no money, no honey” interrupted them and told me again that I needed the 70 thousand. I am from Canada and my wife is from the United States and I understand that money is important but it is not possible that having the authorization of my insurance and giving 50 thousand pesos they could only hydrate her and give her medicine for nausea, that supposed “boss” should not be there. At the end, returning home I found out how much was charged to my insurance and for the “treatment” that was applied to my wife and it almost exceeded 40 thousand Mexican pesos, ¡¡¡¡ Is incredible how they cheat the insurances of Canada!!!! .

Read moreUnfortunately I had a medical emergency happen while visiting the area. I cannot say enough about the care and service I received. From arrival to discharge (3 nights) I knew that I was in extremely good hands. No wait time in emergency, within an hour of arrival I had had an EKG, Chest xray, ultrasound, blood work and a CT Scan. Once admitted and put in a beautiful private room the nurses and doctors were continually checking on me EVERY staff member was helpful and always very cheerful.I am from Canada and I will say that this Hospital puts our Health/ medical care to shame!!I would like to make special mention of Dr Rios who was so thorough and just an outstanding doctor. Also a special thank you to Nurse Cynthia Gonzalas who went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable and anything I needed was taken care of. I had lipo 360 plus my arms treated by Dr. Alejandro in mid October and the staff at the Elean institute were truly so wonderful beyond words. Ivette, my coordinator, felt more like a family member who truly cared about me from start to finish throughout the entire pre-surgery and post-surgery process.
