Edit: I am back now in February. I am again having the Mexicana pizza and Gail is enjoying the arugula salad. Wonderfully again.
A more open air experience with covered areas for rainy days. This is an Italian inspired restaurant with a Mexican flair. For an open air restaurant it is clean. I chose to sit in a covered area for the shade (it is 31 degrees Celsius and sunny today. Decor is minimalistic with basic chairs and tables that are well suited for the open air environment. Lots of greenery surrounding the seating area helps cut back on street noise.
The menu is extensive and includes multiple choices of Entradas, salads, Tapas, pasta and pizza. I have ordered the Mexican Pizza and a glass of white wine.
You have no choice with the wine except red or white. The wine has arrived nicely chilled. Slightly sweet for my taste but I prefer dry wherever possible. You have to learn when jumping from restaurant to restaurant that you don't always get high end lists of wine. It is a sacrifice I personally like to make so I get to sample some incredible food (most of the time).
The Pizza has arrived approximately 10 minutes after ordering. Looks and smells delicious. It comes with three sauces (one apparently very spicy, I like it), chili peppers and extra parmesan. I added the spicy sauce and it really is spicy but delicious. The crust of the pizza is nice and thin, well cooked with no doughyness to it. Plenty of toppings spread out nicely. The flavors from all the ingredients are spectacular. You can taste the individual components and they blend very well on the pallette.
Service from start to finish was wonderful. The staff is friendly and happy to assist you.
Overall a 5 out of 5. If you are getting tired of Mexican food stop in here and have some pasta or pizza.

Read moreThis was the WORST experience we have had in Bucerias. So disappointing considering it looked so promising. We were sat at table that was on a slant and in the trees and we're then told we needed to be finished eating within the hour because they might have someone book a reservation. We ordered our drinks which took 20 minutes alone just to get and they were awful. They brought out the Pina coladas in milk jugs but we were not given any straws to drink them with, one of them ended up spilling all over while attempting to drink it. Nobody offered napkins to help clean it up.The "Palomas" were not what they should have been, they tasted like overly salted margaritas. The server was rude, and didn't check on us once to see if we needed anything for our food or refills for our horrible drinks. The only thing that seemed worth anything was the pizza. NOTHING ELSE. We had to ask the bus boy for boxes for our food and hunt down our server after almost 20 minutes of being done for her to finally throw the check on the table and walk away. Awful, DO NOT WASTE YOUR...
Read moreI arrived in bucerias and was hungry since I had not eaten much during my trip. I asked the owners of the hotel for suggestions and they mentioned La Postal even though they were not convinced about it. Hungry and with hurry for food we decided to give La Postal a try. My wife ordered the arugula salad and a vegetarian pizza. I ordered the spaghetti. We washed it down with wine for my wife and a soda for me. It took a while for the food to arrive but when it did we were not disappointed. The food was flavorful. The service was slow but we ate and had a good conversation with a couple next to us. It was a good time. The only thing I didn't like is that they let dogs run around the restaurant begging for food. A couple brought their dog and it kept coming to our table looking for food. I was uncomfortable sending it away without being rude. Other than that, the food was okay, the drinks were fine and the atmosphere nice. Other than the slow service it was a good experience. I rated it a 4 star because of the dogs. I like pets but not when I am...
