I don't write reviews as often as others. I do write reviews when I experience "Wow! places to stay and eat. Restaurant Ixta is one of those places. We have been going to Ixta for a few years now during our stays in Bucerias, for lunches and dinners. It has become a "go-to" place for us while in the area. Owner, Pierre, and his staff (most of whom have been there for years!) provide excellent service and, amazing food and drink items from a menu that offers a wide range of choices, sure to appeal to even the most selective eaters! The Ixta burger is one of the best burgers I have eaten anywhere in the world I have traveled. The same can be said for the Ixta Caesar Salad! The Caesar dressing is exceptional! The Ixta True Soup is a taste adventure for blue cheese lovers! The mahi mahi with wasabi butter is hands down my favourite dish on the menu! Every Friday night again this past season, Pierre brought in a wonderful lively Latin band to entertain guests while dining. First, we live in Bucerias. Second, IXTA is an old fav of the community and moved to this new location. There are a couple bad reviews, ignore them, this place has been around for years. The kitchen is spotless, the simple wine list is adequate, typical for the area, but very drinkable. The portions are not over done, but appropriate. The happy hour specials are lovely and tasty - try the gauc with Gouda for a lovely simple appy. The service is solid in Spanish and English. The prices are fair. Ambiance is casual but NOT “barefoot casual”, dress up a little! The menu offers the typical local choices with a little Italian flair. Updated November 2023. Love this restaurant, if you are visiting Bucerias, put Ixta on your go to list, love the happy hour 1-5 daily except closed on Sunday , try the 80 peso mango margaritas, 30 peso happy hour beer, food is really delicious, service top shelf and friendly, drinks tasty

March 2023 Had a wonderful experience last night, best burger I have eaten in Bucerias so far, pro service, owner ran the show making sure everyone was happy. I have eaten here at least 10 times this winter and it is alway great.
