Disappointing Experience at Mr. and Mrs Fish
I recently had a disappointing experience at Mr. and Mrs Fish, one of my favorite restaurants in this little town in Mexico. This restaurant holds a special place in my heart as it reminds me of home back in the United States, especially when I indulge in their delicious clam chowder. Despite my love for their food, my recent visit left me extremely dissatisfied.
On this particular visit, I was craving their famous clam chowder, but to my disappointment, they didn't have any available. I decided to try something different and ordered their Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. However, when the dish arrived, I was taken aback by its runny consistency and lack of creaminess. I asked for more cheese to thicken it up, but the waitstaff seemed disinterested and unresponsive to my concerns.
To make matters worse, the pasta was served cold, further adding to my disappointment. I requested to have the dish boxed up so that I could take it home and try to salvage it by adding more cream myself. I was shocked when the server did not offer to make things right or even suggest heating it up in the kitchen. The lack of customer service was truly appalling.
This incident is not an isolated case. It is disheartening to say that I have noticed similar attitudes from the staff on previous visits as well. There have been instances where the employees' facial expressions and body language made it clear that they were displeased with our presence. It felt as though we were interrupting their meal, even though they were on their lunch break too. This unfriendly demeanor made us feel unwelcome and unwanted.
It is a shame to see such a great restaurant tarnished by the poor attitude of its employees. I sincerely hope that the restaurant's management takes immediate action to address this issue. Mr. and Miss Fish has the potential to be a genuine gem in the community, attracting loyal customers like myself who appreciate their exceptional food. However, the lack of customer service exhibited by the staff has left a lasting negative impression.
Sadly, due to this experience, I have decided not to return to Mr. and Miss Fish. It is my hope that the owners take this feedback seriously and make the necessary changes to ensure that future customers receive the warm and welcoming experience...
Read moreWe had been in the area for a while before trying this little gem. We really wanted to eat outside but they only had tables for two so they brought out an extra chair. They were also very attentive even though we were outside and at the end of the row. Great service overall. The shrimp or fish prepared to your taste was top quality and perfectly cooked to impress. I got the shrimp diabla which is great if you love spice. It was not overly spicy to where others in my group didn't like them. I would say they were about a medium but built as the meal continued. Overall a great top quality meal. Also as a side note they have really good french fries. The meal also came with a choice of two sides. My Mom went for salad and fries and I did...
Read moreI’m all about fish tacos. From fancy restaurants to stands on the street, tourist joints to places with only locals. I love Mexican food and I don’t eat meat, so fish is where it’s at for me. I’ve had fish tacos in San Francisco, San Diego, the Mayan Riviera, and Cabo. In the past week I’ve eaten countless fish tacos in Bucerias and a few other places in Nayarit. Overall, for just tacos, I like this place the best. The name is cheesy. The decor seems touristy. It’s not the cheapest but still very reasonable. The (breaded, fried) fish tacos are simply dynamite. Recommended without qualifiers or hesitation. The staff is young and very friendly. I...
