Great restaurant with amazing food and excellent service. It's a waterfront restaurant where you can sit on the balcony, inside the restaurant or at the tables by the water. It has enough shade to hide from the sun. They allow customers to use facility for as long as they need, considering you are dining in. So it is a perfect place to head for a day on the beach. You can go for a swim, leave your belongings by the table, come back have a drink and meal. Our bags were safe, but as always practice common sense and caution, you're responsible for own stuff. You can also use their umbrellas and beach shower. Staff is very polite, knowledgeable and professional, some staff members speak multiple languages and of course everyone speaks very good English. Menu is extraordinary, the only problem you might encounter is what to order as choices are many. Customers who don't want encounters with beach vendors prefer to sit on balcony, we chose tables on the sand every time because we would come to Bucerias to spend day specifically in the water. Everyone will recognize you if come for a second time and your previous server will take time to come and shake your hand. Restrooms are sparkling clean and well stocked. Views are stunning as you sit right at the waterfront. Great place to watch sunset. When we are going to Bucerias this restaurant is definitely our stop to eat and spend a day. I would give it 10 stars if I could. I was neither paid nor offered any free or discounted items for...
Read moreWe have eaten here several times and have always enjoyed the food and service. Last night however, we got swindled. I ordered simple garlic shrimp, which according to the menu should have cost me 220 pesos. When my meal arrived, instead of the usual cocktail size shrimp, I had larger shrimp with the shells still on! I figured they gave me the grande shrimp because my sister in law had ordered the grande coconut shrimp which were on the menu for 390 pesos. While she was ordering the waiter repeated ‘jumbo’ several times, but she kept pointing to the menu item and saying grande.
When our bill arrived, we were both charged 600 pesos for our meals. When we complained, the waiter Carlos, would not back down and then brought out a plate with 2 different sized shrimp and said he had served us the jumbo ones. It sure would have been good for him to have shown us those when we were ordering, rather than upgrading us without our knowledge. Also, the garlic shrimp i was served were the Grande size, not the jumbo. I’m not sure how we ordered an item that wasn’t even on the menu, but he insisted on charging us for Jumbo shrimp. Patrons be careful when you’re ordering shrimp, or maybe try the...
Read moreInitially they were welcoming and friendly. Wanting us to come in. I inquired about the fish tacos and they claimed to have the best in the area. I asked if we could have a flour tortilla instead of corn. The answer was of course. I asked what they put on them. The answer was anything you want. So, we went in. I asked for fish tacos with flour tortilla and coleslaw topping. They didn't have coleslaw but would put lettuce on them, I was hesitant but agreed. I was served corn tortilla and the very small amount of lettuce was chopped fine and completely wilted. The fish were decent size but I swear they were frozen breaded fish sticks from a Highliner box, or a similar brand; Tasteless, hard and very dry. The other two meals at our table were unsatisfactory. Thin filets of Mahi Mahi were over cooked and dry. The salad given with red snapper was wilted. The rice was tasteless.
In the end when we paid we still gave 10% tip and the waiter as he took it away said to the other waiter, looking at the tip, "are you kidding me?" That's what we thought too ..are you kidding me? We should have gone to fat boys or one of the other restaurants along the beach. We...
