El Cafelito Monterrey — Restaurant in Nuevo León

Since this coffee shop is close to hotels I'm writing this in English as well. A great coffee shop, frappes, lattes or simply an American coffee is delicious, not that avarage machine coffee. In my opinion it's worth it to have coffee here instead of the hotel. It's great believe me I live in this city and know several coffee shops. The cookies and cakes are incredible. Fully recommended to spend an hour drinking coffee or reading news or just chatting with a friend. Prices are waaay good, like an American coffee it's like 30 pesos (less than 2usd). If you are not a coffee person you can try the Mangoshake which is supergood too. La cafetería muy padre buen ambiente y el café delicioso. Located extremely closely to several hotels in the area so it's in a convenient location. The staff are super friendly and the space has a lot of character. I don't speak much Spanish but they were patient and happy to help anyways.

I ordered an Americano (no milk or sugar) and it didn't taste particularly strong or unique. Nevertheless, the pastries looked delicious and I honestly didn't expect a huge coffee culture in Monterrey.

They also have free WiFi so that's definitely a plus if you want to sit and spend some time here.
