The tlayudas here are giant!!! Here’s my husband by it for scale haha. My husband also enjoyed his horchata! I love the grilled beef and grilled pork on top of the tlayuda. My hubby misread the menu and ordered the pollo frito bc he thought it was a fried chicken quesadilla, but it was just a pan fried chicken breast/thigh with beans and salad (didn’t get a photo of it though). I ordered a caldo de pollo and it came with a giant chicken in it as well! Everything was really tasty and delicious. We got everything for like $14 with tip!

Chabelita was better. Service was fast. I asked the waitress where they bought the molé, she told me everything was made by the...
Read moreI'm so glad we stopped to have lunch at this little restaurant in the mercado. My fiance ordered the platillo mixto de carnes. The cecina and tasajo were really good, but the chorizo was underwhelming. I had the chile relleno with chicken picadillo, and it was nothing like I expected, but delicious! It was shredded chicken with a mole sauce with a fluffy breading and raisins. And there was no poblano chile like I had imagined there to be, but instead a chile de agua. Try this place if you're lucky enough to get a seat because it stays pretty busy. You won't be...
