Stopped by for a drink. The service was fantastic, the lemonade was great, and I made a cat friend. The food looks so delicious, we will most likely come back for a meal *Update* came back for our final dinner and this place did not disappoint! The place was packed, we were seated at the kitchen and it was amazing watching everyone in their grove and pumping out food nonstop. The chefs, the dishwashers, everyone was on point and the food came out incredibly fast. There wasn't a wait when we showed up, but there was a large wait by the time we left. We ordered the green papaya salad, green curry with shrimp, and pad Thai with chicken. We also ordered a couple cocktails. Everything was phenomenal and we even had leftovers for a great breakfast which they boxed up for us. Highly recommend, one of our favorite spots on this vacation. Update #2: Came back two months later with a group of eight and everything was just as good or better than the last time. You can't go wrong.

Food didn’t take me back to Thailand, I felt fully present in La Punta and I wasn’t left with any choice but a 5-star review. The menu has various Thai meals, including vegan-friendly ones. I recommend the daily special, off menu, usually a “tuna sellado” with a different sauce (comes with rice and salad). The tuna is fresh and delicious, and the portion is generous and filling. Overall great taste, although not authentic Thai! The vibe is awesome and the atmosphere cosy. There is live music on some nights. Unless you come in a group, you would likely sit in a shared table or at the bar where you might make new friends. The staff are helpful and patient. If you’re lucky you may have a round of mezcal shots on the house! Cards are accepted however tips are cash only.

Lychee offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, enhanced by cozy seating and soft lighting—perfect for a relaxed evening. The tuna carpaccio was well-executed, and the cocktail program is solid. However, the main courses we tried, including Pad Kra Pao and Pad See Ew, fell short. The accompanying rice arrived cold initially, and the replacement was lukewarm and clearly reheated. While the restaurant is marketed as a fusion concept, the dishes lacked clear direction and didn’t capture authentic Thai flavors. That said, the ambience, attentive service, and quality of the cocktails make it a venue we would return to just for the drinks and a comfortable setting.

Service is average, our disengaged waitress seem more interested in hanging out with other cool kids at the bar than serving customers.

Quality of food is average considering the higher price compared to other nearby restaurants. Meals come out less authentic than described and a bit disappointing. Where the Tom Kha should be sour, tangy and a bit sweet, it will just be sweet. Where the stirfried noodles of a Pad Thai should be oily but pan fried and almost crispy, they will be wet and drowning in an anonymous broth, more akin to a noodle soup. Where a green curry should have fresh capsicum and coriander, it will have celery and broccoli (like a stew). If you want spicy, make sure you ask for it specifically. Don't rely on the chilli symbol next to the meal description on the menu.

Floor cushions also reek like an old dog's bed. Suspect the local dogs sleep on them! Suggest sitting at the tables with chairs and not on on the tables with floor cushions.

Not a negative experience, but not a really good one either. On the plus side, the location is great and the restaurant ambience is nice too. They have a good selection of Mezcal if you're interested in that (although a bit pricey). The bar looked like it could be fun on a...

I have been a customer here for over two years.

Lately, customer service has not been the best. The waitresses and management are not well organized. When I communicated to management the missing dishes or beverages they took the feedback in a professional manner. Feedback was accepted then they compensate in someway. Much appreciated but they should aim to better the dining experience and work on training.

Unfortunately, that is not the case here as they keep making needless mistakes. I suggest that waiters get better training and clearly write orders on a note pad.

The issue above is not my motivating factor for this review rather an embarrassing experience when I took my client to this restaurant, and he got food poisoning from the pad Thai chicken dish that they didn’t fully cook.

The embarrassing part is that his friend was warned not eat here because they got food poisoning. Despite the warning my client trusted me and we dined here. He got food poisoning.

Obviously, I’m going to...
